This is a web-based software which is free with the option to upgrade. It is similar to GarageBand, but is great because it doesn't require a specific type of computer to use. To use, one simply drags in the loops and MIDI tracks to create their own songs. The free version has its limitations, but can still create some amazing tracks for the classroom.

I teach the steel drum and most students do not have a personal instrument. Therefore, practice time at the pan yard seems as if it takes too much of the students time. If parents are enlightened with this information they may have more of an understanding and appreciation for the amount of practice time spent in the pan yard.
