A very useful aspect of the website is the "Idea Bank" which is located in the Resources tab. Subscribing to the idea bank list allows music teachers to instantly interact, discuss, and share with colleagues across the nation. The diverse wealth of resources available here are sure to be helpful in every kindergarten through 8th grade music class.

    This is a great publishing website with music for k-8 general and vocal classrooms along with recorder music. This also has teacher resources with a great bank of teaching ideas.

    Music K-8 is an online and magazien subscription that contains valuable resources such as songs, activities, Power Point presentation, videos, etc. Each magazine contains brand-new songs according to each hlidyas of the year. It is a great resource for elementary and middle school general music classes.

    This website has resources to accompany their texts, but they are certainly useful even if you don't have their text. K-8 listening maps are great and easy to download. There are also detailed histories of different instruments.

Games focus on composition, ear training, and responding. The free games are just the beginning- Quaver Music offers a comprehensive, standards-based K-6 curriculum that is loaded with hundreds of interactive songs, lesson plans, assessment tools, video episodes, games, and more. An annual subscription is required, but teachers can purchase smaller sections of the curriculum to meet their specific needs.

    Music K8 is a publication company that provides resources (physical and digital) for elementary/general music teachers. Most of the musical content is organized and packaged around various themes, such as seasons or holidays. There is also a magazine (for teachers) that is published quarterly containing a variety of repertoire and high quality mp3 accompaniment tracks. Individual songs can also be previewed and purchased digitally.

    This website is used to help me find new repertoire to work on with my students. Teaching concepts through pieces of music is important even at the younger level. This resource helps me find music for all ages in my school.
