Percussive Arts Society provides countless files, resources and recordings for your aspiring percussionists as well as percussion classes to provide quality instruction. The Percussive Arts Society is also a membership and subscription service as well as providing a annual conference across the country. 

The Percussive Arts Society is the largest organization for percussionists and drummers from all over the world. Becoming a member grants access to an extensive archive of videos, publications, and articles related to percussion pedagogy, performance, etc. PASIC, the international convention hosted by PAS, is a multi-day event featuring percussionists and lecturers as well as networking opportunities.

The Percussive Arts Society website provides several resources for music educators. There are magazine subscriptions available as well. This site can help not only percussionists, but non-percussionist educator who are looking to find help in teaching percussion.

Teaching with Orff is an interesting website with many resources for teachers interested on this approach. Some resources include access to articles, tips, and videos on a variety of relevant Orff topics.

Though the songs found on this blog are public domain, she posts them directly here to cut out the leg work of finding them and also tells exactly what she does with each song and what concepts she teaches!  Perfect resource for any general music teacher.

This is a wonderful teacher blog with tons of teaching resources and curriculum. This blog has a huge bank of songs by grade level or activity type and feature activities to accompany the songs.

This is a great resource for discovering new songs to teach. The site allows users to search for short transcriptions by category (ie recorder music, Orff arrangements), alphabetical, or by genre (ie: folk, popular). Music can be saved as .pdf's.

Mrs. Miracle's Music Room has a wealth of information. Besides the usual blog with free lesson plans and a link to her www.teacherspayteachers.com store, she also has a link to her podcast and facebook group. She includes easy to use labels to sort the blogs as well as a link to highlight her classroom design and organization. Her blogs range in topics from specific lesson plans to teacher self-care and learning styles in the music classroom. She is a Kodaly trained teacher and her blog is geared towards K-6 general music.

The blog has a myriad of resources for the elementary music classroom. I have followed this blog for years and have pulled resources and ideas from it quite often. Examples of resources I have used recently are music centers and music technology/iPad apps.

Mrs. Miracle's blog incorporates a ton of resources for the elementary school teacher. She posts podcasts, lesson plans, and different activities that she does in her classroom. There is also the option to download freebies or purchase activities from her store (similar to Teachers Pay Teachers).The blog also discusses learning styles and best practices that Aileen incorporates in her daily teaching.

ACDA website with links to choral journals, library archives, festival information and more.

This is the official ACDA website. You can find information about conferences, as well as access resources and connect with colleagues. If you teach choir, being a member of ACDA is a must.

The purpose of this resource is wide and varied. Not only does this resource provide choral music educators with a professional development community but also looks at a range of topic regarding singing both in the individual and choral setting. Membership in this organization does cost a fee but there are many benefits for music educators who teach choir.

Beth's Music Notes is another great blog to follow that includes tons of songs and most free if you join. I like to follow her blog to find new songs to bring to the classroom.

This website provides valuable resources for piano teachers. It can be used as a group class or private teaching. It contains worksheets, games, sheet music (easy and intermediate level). It is suitable for early childhood and elementary students.

This is a website owned by a married couple who teach and own their own music studio. There site contains blogs and everyday they share ideas from teachers around the world as well as give suggestions for current teachers. Their site includes printables which can be used for teaching. They also have an online store with the products they have written for teachers.

Teachers pay teachers is user content for other users to use. For a small fee (or free in many cases!), an educator could find lessons, activities, resources, or curriculum that would work well for their specific teaching situation. For a teacher with ideas and resources looking to make a little bit of extra money, they could put up their own content for others to buy.

Educator Seth Gamba provides his audience with a plethora of strategies for teaching rhythm in the ensemble setting. These include but are not limited to repeating exercises and excerpts as well as counting out loud. Most notably, each of the strategies he suggests can be adapted for use in just about any music classroom, including band, orchestra, chorus, and even general music. Resource for UF Masters in Music Education. Smartmusic is an incredible resource that can be used in the classroom to aid in individual assessment. It allows for a student to be accompanied and even record assignments to be turned into the teacher. This program greatly reduces class time spent on assessment!

SmartMusic is a great program on it's own for teaching music. But they also offer advice on other great resources, such as those on this page.

This website has many piano/keyboard resources that can be printed. It has great, colorful visuals for students to use that are decently explanatory on their own.
