    Provided by Holy Names University in conjunction with their Kodály Center, "American Folk Song Collection" is a valuable resource for music teachers, parents, choral conductors and composers.Exploring the collection of repertoire allows a music teacher of any grade level the opportunity to obtain musical scores, lyrics, song analyses and background information. All applicable to constructing curriculum, selecting repertoire for a performance ensemble or building a personal database of favorite songs.     Drum corp is something that many high school students dream of becoming a part of.  Many students in marching bands around the world dream to become a DCI champion.  Vic Firth teamed up with the Cadets and have made videos with the music from their 2015 production, "The Power of 10" featuring the selection "Waltz".  Students can play along whether they are in the front ensemble, snare line, bass line, or tenor line.

    From the Top is a PBS series that features young performers on the Carnegie Hall stage. Each clip includes background and an interview with Christopher O'Riley (host and sometimes piano accompanist). There are representations of almost every major instrument in band and orchestra as well as vocalists, choral ensembles, pianists, and guitarists. The young performers have selected pieces in a variety of styles and some have amazing background stories, including an Olympic skater and one about the effects of Hurricane Katrina. The website also includes podcasts and a section for teachers that includes lesson plans to incorporate along with each episode. Clicking on From the Top at the bottom of the page gets you to more recent streaming videos from the show at fromthetop.org

      Smart Music is used by school band programs all across the country, and now students can use it for free on their own! With Smart Music, teachers can use established literature, method books, and state scale lists to facilitate individual student practice and to assign paying tests for students to complete on their own time. Students can also search for literature on their own and practice along to a recording!

    This YouTube channel is a great resources for jazz educators in both a private and ensemble setting. The videos cover the whole jazz orchestra, providing videos of technique as well as ways to develop students' improvisational skills.

    Jazz Academy is a YouTube library with free lessons on jazz for educators and students. Lessons range from the instrument specific techniques, jazz history, master classes with professional musicians, and lessons on different styles of music. From these videos, students receive important information from professional jazz musicians. As a jazz educator, there are also videos that improve my understanding of specific techniques and styles.
