10x10 ('ten by ten') is an interactive exploration of the words and pictures that define the time. Every hour, 10x10 collects the 100 words and pictures that matter most on a global scale, and presents them as a single image, taken to encapsulate that moment in time. By Jonathan J. We live in a global, knowledge-based economy. Students must master vital 21st century skills to survive in the world beyond the classroom. They must be able to
• research using the Internet,
• assess information,
• work collaboratively,
• communicate effectively,
• think critically and creatively.
I have organized the Web 2.0 sites using some of these 21st century skills. Many of the Web 2.0 applications incorporate more than one skill. These tools can help us realize the different ways critical 21st century skills can be developed in the classroom.
