  •
This article describes instructional theory that supports post-industrial education and training systems - ones that are customized and learner-centered, in which student progress is based on learning rather than time. The article describes universal methods of instruction, situational methods, core ideas of the post-industrial paradigm of instruction, the importance of and problems with task-based instruction, a vision of an instructional theory for post-industrial education and training, and the roles that may be played by the teacher, the learner, and technology in the new paradigm. Keywords: Instructional theory, post-industrial paradigm, task-basd instruction
  •
Is this Reigeluth's recent publication? I plan to include this in the reading list for next year. Thanks for sharing.
  •
I saw the news on Kursat Hoca's FB profile. It is published in Magazine about Distance Education (Revista de Educación a Distancia). I like the idea of learning without time constraints. I don't know why :)

Thanks Educational Warriors for sharing the table. I see you don't have any critique on constructivism and humanism?
  •
Evrim Hocam, you said that weakness and criticique addresses the same things so we can omit one.Thats why I didn`t include criticique on the approaches. But if you think we should include that as well.I can re-write it hocam.
  •
Defne, It is better to address them in the table. Perhaps, you can add couple points there.
  •
Evrim Hocam, I addressed to the specific approaches in the table as you wished:)

Being impressed thanks to Dinçer's video show, I found a compilation of movies related to "idealist teachers." Of all, I have had a chance to watch Hababam Sınıfı, İki dil bir bavul and Stand and Deliver. If you're looking for something inspiring, bet it is worth trying some maybe during semester break!

Thanks for share. I noted some of them to watch as soon as possible.

Some news about new Turkish Education System - 2 views

I am not totally sure about annually students school leaving rates (from elementary school to secondary school) but thousands of students (esp. girls) left their schools, unfortunately.
  •
Sinem, this is such an important number and a big problem in Turkey. Now, researchers are trying to identify the reasons for dropout and taking measures to prevent that happening in other countries. Yet, this is such an under-researched area in Turkey.
  •
on a report published in 2011, I remember reading a statement that goes like 40 - 45 of 15 year-olds do not go to school regularly in Turkey! I hadn't expected such a percentage!

Actually, I am concerned with the quality of reseach much more quantity. I appreciated USA since it has two of them. On the other hand the area of USA is much more greater than other parts of the world. Brain drain is another issue which is directly related to those results ,cool representation anyway.
