Here are four excellent Chrome apps specifically curated for Math teachers and students. These apps are ideal for writing, editing and viewing math formula whether they are simple or complex. One of these tools, TeX equation editor, is integrated with Google Drive so you can easily paste TeX equations right into your Google Docs.

Valuable tools for teachers and students.

PDFs (portable document formats) are probably the most popular document format we use in our daily work as teachers and educators. As such, we deemed it important that we share with you this list of some interesting tools to help you do more with your PDF files. These Chrome apps will allow you to edit, annotate, convert, view, fill forms and share PDFs. Some of these add-ons (such as the first two in this list) are also integrated with Google Drive.

Gmail Contact Group allows you to organize your contacts into different groups so you can easily send emails to specific set of people. As a teacher, you can create a contract group for each of your classes and this way you can email all the students in a single class by simply selecting their group.

From a spreadsheet template, fill in names and email addresses for students and run the addon "folder maker." Folders are created for every student and they are automatically shared with the teacher and student. Awesome!

As a teacher or learner, you can use Bibblio to discover, collect and curate the best free learning materials on the web in any format (videos, podcasts, web links, presentations and many more). It also lets you organize all of your curated materials into one single homepage that you can annotate and personalize before sharing it with your peers and students. To search for content on Bibblio, use the box in the top-right corner. 'Type a keyword and see the initial results. These may comprise users, collections and individual content pieces. From there, you can refine your search by typing another keyword or choosing a suggested one from the right-hand column. You can refine the results further by filtering by format (video, audio, visuals, books and articles) or by re-ordering based on recency, popularity or shares. You can also save your favourite keywords by clicking on them in the search results title. Find them again via the Following tab on your profile menu bar.'

Robert Kaplinsky created a template that teachers can use to post a request outside their doors to ask for peer feedback.

"Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) Primary Source Sets are designed to help students develop critical thinking skills by exploring topics in history, literature, and culture through primary sources. Drawing online materials from libraries, archives, and museums across the United States, the sets use letters, photographs, posters, oral histories, video clips, sheet music, and more. Each set includes a topic overview, ten to fifteen primary sources, links to related resources, and a teaching guide.
