The objectives of the World Digital Library are to promote international and inter-cultural understanding and awareness, provide resources to educators, expand non-English and non-Western content on the Internet, and to contribute to scholarly research.

    The Muscogee County School District will receive $1.7 million from the Department of Defense to help provide technology in the classroom for military students.\nThe Department of Defense Education Activity grant will be used to create a podcast library for use by teachers, students and parents. Students will use the podcasts to learn new material, as well as for review. Parents will be able to view or participate in graduation ceremonies, classroom activities and current events using the podcasts.
