  • This new school policy is running contrary to a nationwide ban of cell phones in schools. What’s interesting though is the source of the opposition. That the teacher’s union is against it isn’t all that surprising, but the other group that is currently opposing the change is…. the parents. While there isn’t much in the way of details on this front, it does say that parents are worried phones will be a distraction.

      Do teachers 'overcome' these challenges? It is a sad truth that many teachers feel this way yet continue to educate our students. I hear teachers complain more than inspire on a daily basis.

    The Muscogee County School District will receive $1.7 million from the Department of Defense to help provide technology in the classroom for military students.\nThe Department of Defense Education Activity grant will be used to create a podcast library for use by teachers, students and parents. Students will use the podcasts to learn new material, as well as for review. Parents will be able to view or participate in graduation ceremonies, classroom activities and current events using the podcasts.
