Texas Memory Systems (TMS) has announced their partnership with NEVEX Virtual Technologies, a Toronto-based developer of application optimized caching solutions, to develop joint solutions that will supercharge the performance of VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual applications implemented on TMS' Flash-based SSD storage devices.

"Toronto's Guardly, a developer of public safety mobile services, has partnered with Desire2Learn and will provide its Safe Campus solution for its Campus Life mobile suite. "

The family of Dr. John Evans, an innovator in both medicine and business, is donating $10-million to the Toronto MaRS Discovery District. The money will be used to create a MaRS Solutions Lab, which will be designed to help tackle a range of problems - from the commercialization of medical discoveries to global health issues - while providing opportunities for young Canadians, who will have the chance to become fellows at MaRS.

Dr. John Evans, co-founder of MaRS Discovery District doanted $10 million to MaRS last week to launch a Solutions Lab.

Four Ontario start-up companies working with MaRS advisory services are among those recognized by this year's Deloitte Technology Fast 50(TM) program, Canada's pre-eminent technology awards. These companies were Aeryon Labs Inc., Bayalink Solutions Corp., Real Tech Inc. and Vive Nano. Oct 1, 2009
