100 Incredible & Educational Virtual Tours You Don't Want to Miss | Online Universities - 0 views

  •
"One of the wonders of the Internet is that it can bring the world to you instead of your needing to find the time and money to explore the traditional way. The following virtual tours bring opportunities to explore cities, famous landmarks and buildings, museums, college campuses, and even outer space. You can learn how things are made, explore the human body or that of a life-sized whale, and visit ball parks and theme parks. There is even a section of incredible virtual tours that Google Earth has compiled that shares the world in a whole new way."

The site, called DocsTeach, not only lets teachers explore thousands of documents in a variety of media from the National Archives holdings, but it also includes online tools to help teachers combine these materials and create engaging history activities that students can access over the internet.

Graph functions, plot tables of data, evaluate equations, explore transformations, and much more - for free! theses an easy way to add higher math graphs to tests and assignments. Students can also create graphs and send them. This fits under redefinition for the SAMR model and doesn't fit clean;y into any category of the web 2.0 clusters. My best guess is Infographic s under data analysis and drawing. Any thoughts?

What an innovative, forward-looking principal to embrace technology the way he did! I was impressed that the percentage of students on grade level rose 53% in 3years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! These are the types of videos our school boards and administrators need to see. This is far more effective than teaching to the test and constant reviewing for PSSAs!

This blog explores the idea of using Facebook for education purposes. It always goes over some pros and cons of it. The blog has links to some interesting articles related to this topic including one about a professor using Facebook to teach a class at Penn State. I really found this blog valuable for the debate about Facebook in education. I personally support some of these methods like using it for important notifications in regards to safety alerts.
