TeacherDirect is designed to establish a direct line of communication with classroom teachers and educators. The Definition of "Assistive Technology" as defined by the VDOE

"Description AT Consideration Guide: IDEA (1997) added the requirement that each IEP team consider the need for assistive technology as part of the Consideration of Special Factors. IEP Teams must also document their consideration of assistive technology in the IEP. The consideration guide can assist school divisions in developing a process for consideration of AT in the IEP process. This app was developed in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE)."

Grades 1-6 Mathematics vocabulary word wall cards provide a display of mathematics content words and associated visual cues to assist in vocabulary development. The cards should be used as an instructional tool for teachers and then as a reference for all students, particularly English learners and students with disabilities.
