"At the Dyslexia Training Institute our mission is to provide education about dyslexia, interventions for dyslexia (Orton-Gillingham) as well as how to navigate the educational system by understanding Special Education Law. Our courses were created for parents, caregivers, teachers, educational professionals and anyone interested in the topic. We believe information about dyslexia should not be limited by geography and we have created an online space where everyone has access to this information. "

Page fluffers are helpful in fostering independent literacy skills. Page fluffers are simple adaptations made to books or other reading material that make pages more accessible to turn. Page fluffers increase the space between the pages of a book, allowing those with limited fine motor skills to get their fingers between each page therefore making it easier to turn a page. You can use a variety of different materials to make page fluffers. A fluffer can be glued, taped, or clipped to the corner of each page.

PrAACtical AAC is written by two professors of speech-language pathology, Robin Parker and Carole Zangari, who are passionate about AAC. Our blog is a virtual space where we can muse aloud about the state of the field, share information about implementing AAC strategies, provide resources, and discuss news of interest to the AAC community.
