  •
The Radio Adventures of Dr. Floyd is the internet's longest running, professionally produced, family friendly podcast! Though the show was broadcast over the internet in April of 2004, it wasn't until the advent of Podcasting that the show took on the status it now enjoys. The Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd has steadily built listenership with wacky tales of the World's Most Brilliant Scientist, Dr. Floyd, as he races through history, hot on the heels of his arch nemesis, Dr. Steve. The show is breaking ground in the world of family entertainment and is in development as a TV Show and Feature Film. The Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd is a weekly, 5 minute, family friendly show that combines the fast paced, episodic hilarity of Rocky & Bullwinkle and the imagination inducing power of "old time" radio. It's Stan Freberg, Jay Ward, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Prarie Home Companion, and Sesame Street all rolled into one!

  •
StarTalk, from Curved Light Productions, is the first and only popular commercial radio program devoted to all things space and is hosted by renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. As Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History, Tyson makes regular appearances as the "nation's expert on space" on major news programs and popular shows (Daily Show, Colbert Report). Tyson's writings (such as The Sky is Not the Limit: Adventures of an Urban Astrophysicist) and NOVA specials (Origins, and NOVA ScienceNOW) have already won him a faithful media following. His most recent book, Death by Black Hole and Other Cosmic Quandaries reached the New York Times Best Seller List. Tyson was named Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential Persons in the World for 2007. StarTalk Radio bridges the intersection between Pop Culture and Science with clarity, humor and passion. Captivating subjects-such as space travel, extra-terrestrial life, the Big Bang, the future of our Earth and the environment, and breaking news from the universe-will all be explored. Hilarity ensues as Tyson is joined each week by comedian co-hosts, celebrities, and other special guests.

Jovian-Plutonian gravitational effect - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views

  •
At exactly 10:17am ET today the Jovian - Plutonian Gravitational Effect will impact the gravity on Earth. British astrophysicist Patrick Moore discovered that the combined gravitational pull of the alignment of Jupiter and Pluto will cause one to spend a significantly longer amount of time "floating" in the air when jumping up due to an increase in gravitational pull from the celestial objects. Experience the phenomenon by setting a timer and having your entire class jump up into the air at exactly 10:17am. The experience is said to be similar to that of riding a roller coaster or jumping in an elevator as it begins to descend. Experience Zero Gravity! The effect lasts for approximately one minute.
  •
"The Jovian-Plutonian gravitational effect is a hoax phenomenon stated to cause a noticeable short-term reduction in gravity on Earth that was invented for April Fools' Day by the English astronomer Patrick Moore and broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on 1 April 1976."
