Universal Design for Learning: From Theory to Practice In this webinar, expert classroom educators Jon Mundorf (Naples, FL) and Alexis Reid (Boston, MA) discussed the ways in which UDL helps them teach more effectively and reach more students. They talked about some of the challenges of applying UDL principles and shared proven strategies for success. David Gordon, co-author of the 2014 book Universal Design for Learning: Theory and Practice, which features both Jon and Alexis, joined them to talk about how the growing community of UDL practitioners is informing and shaping the theory. CAST Professional Learning's Allison Posey moderated.

Timeline allows students to create a graphical representation of an event or process by displaying items sequentially along a line. Timelines can be organized by time of day, date, or event, and the tool allows users to create a label with short or long descriptive text. Adding an image for each label makes a timeline more visually appealing.

The templates below are for creating ABC books and personal books for students with significant disabilities, including deaf-blindness. The templates have also been setup so that there is an auditory click and some movement when students turn the pages in the book. In all of the downloadable templates, the pages and the text boxes have already been made. Teachers, therapists and/or parents can spend time adding pictures and text, rather then the technical aspects of starting from scratch."
