As someone who went from the corporate world and then the government world to the ever-changing online world, I know how the world of yesterday is rapidly becoming irrelevant. I was trained in the newspaper industry, where we all believed we would be relevant forever - and I now believe will go the way of the horse and buggy."

- 50 Sites in 60 Minutes, Volume Three - 3 views

"50 Sites in 60 Minutes, Volume Three This is a collection of sites that I like to use in a one-hour session of professional development. I like to update it twice a year to keep things fresh and because the first two were such a huge success. The last volume received over 21,000 views on Slideshare alone. As with all my resources, feel free to use them any way you see fit and I hope you enjoy it. I've even seen this used as teaching tool for a blogging exercise at the college level. Stay tuned for volume four sometime this summer! "

Video Tutorial - How to Create An iPad App List Using iTunes Store Links | iPad Academy - 1 views

  •
"A short time ago I published a list of "starter apps" for the iPad, most of them free. I've had several questions about how I created this app list, so I made a video describing the process. The method I describe isn't the only way to build an app list document or to share a favorite collection of apps with others. For example, you could save a step and just drag and drop the title of the app into a document once you find the app in the store. It will become a live link and look like this - Merriam-Webster Dictionary HD"

Advent calendars are a fun way to reveal information and "surprises" for your students to look forward to each day in December leading up to Christmas. Last year I thought I would make an advent calendar of my own using Wix. I created a Web 2.0 advent calendar by choosing 25 of my favorite web 2.0 tools for the classroom. Each day you can check out a new one. (I'll let you in on a secret, you can cheat and look at them all by clicking on the bird to get back to the calendar page…shh don't tell anyone!) "

Tut: Pinterest Pin Using iPod/iPad/iPhone : Savitri Wilder, this is my life - 4 views

"IF you have an iPod/iPhone, please make sure that you are not on the mobile version of Pinterest.com when you are on Safari. How do you know? Open Safari, go to Pinterest's website, look at the URL bar and make sure that the URL says: http://pinterest.com and NOT http://m.pinterest.com. See the 'm'? IF your Pinterest website shows this mobile version, you need to select 'Full Site' first before you can make the below tutorial work. Here's an example. I was on the Pinterest website using my iPod. You see the 'm'? Yes, NO NO!! Look to the right, next my avatar is a drop down arrow. Click that! You will see three option with one being 'Full Site'. Click that and you now should have the regular Pinterest website - it'll look the same way as when you look at it from a regular computer screen."
