The purpose of this resource is to provide "Just in Time" training through an online interface for K-12 educators based on the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T). These standards are the basic technology skills every educator should possess. In the process, educators will develop their own skills and discover what students need in order to meet the NETS for Students, as well as the new MMC Online Experience requirement. Participants who fulfill all of the requirements have the opportunity to earn SBCEU's. To learn more about the session, look under the tab "The 21 Things". We hope you take advantage of this unique opportunity.

We believe that Vermont educators would benefit from seeing "pictures" of these new learning environments. Additionally, we feel that technology must play a strong role in supporting these environments. The National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S) "refreshed" in 2007 provide us with guidance on how technology, when combined with effective pedagogy and strong content standards can get us to that desired end.... the transformed classroom.

This wiki was created for an iPad workshop at ESSDACK in Hutchinson, KS on October 18, 2011 by Judy Beam and Mary Frazier. You'll notice the pages of this wiki (on the left hand side) are the Common Core Standards. We have placed iPad apps on each page that might help your students learn that concept. There will be overlap - one app may meet more than one standard. Please leave comments, suggest apps, or share your experiences in the discussion tab of the appropriate page.
