"Faux Columns" by Dan Cederholm of SimpleBits discusses "[a] simple way to make CSS columns appear equal in length, regardless of the content that they contain." This technique requires a good amount of skill in positioning elements on a page and understanding the nuances of the background image. I'd like to try it, but don't anticipate using it any time in the near future, but because we're using Wordpress I'm not sure I'll be needing to any time soon.

I hope this link is "legal" (if it's not, I apologize), but there are some "tricks" to get super-fancy with your blog HTML.

Here are some tips when thinking about the fonts you'd like to use on your website.

Make a great color scheme! I play with this site all the time. You can have a monochromatic scheme, a complement, analogic... and so much more. There are also options so you can see what your color scheme might look like to a color blind person!

This article was written/posted a year ago, but I found it interesting -- detailing some "trends" in web pages. Some of the ideas (like hand-drawn designs) are probably way beyond our reach. I hope at least one of these sparks something, lets you think outside the box for your next installation! :)

While looking for cool website designs I stumbled upon quite a few that I really liked. Turns out, a lot of them were designed by this guy. He is awesome.

This is the web practictioner's blog. Some of the blog posts are over our heads at this point, but it's still interesting to read. It gave me an idea of what's going on in this web world we're entering.

Lots of fonts to look at and consider!

This would be a great template if anyone will have visual art - photos, paintings, drawings - to blog about. Each block is a new post, I think. I won't be using it because my preference will be words... Unless you think I could pull off having a diagram in each photo :)

After doing an online search I came across a collection of WP themes.\nSmashing Magazine has many resources (many are free) for anyone designing a website. I am looking at portfolio, magazine and other visual display themes.

We love fonts. We talk about them and how important they are and sometimes we even judge a website by its fonts. This is a cool article about typography.
