This is the web practictioner's blog. Some of the blog posts are over our heads at this point, but it's still interesting to read. It gave me an idea of what's going on in this web world we're entering.
This article by Phyllis Zimbler Miller is one of many good ones I found on this site. She gives good advice on how to integrate your blog with social media.
Scott Schuman is The Sartorialist. He has created an intriguing person-on-the-street photography blog. His work influences the fashion design industry and trickles to many other design disciplines.
I like the spirit of the site, and hope to incorporate this in my own photography.
This would be a great template if anyone will have visual art - photos, paintings, drawings - to blog about. Each block is a new post, I think. I won't be using it because my preference will be words... Unless you think I could pull off having a diagram in each photo :)
A nice looking portfolio site. So simple and straightforward!
Carl Carbonell's site was selected by HOW magazine as one of October's top 10 sites for designers.
He could have probably set up his store and blog all one one site with WordPress! (he didn't)
This NPR blog post by Linda Holmes discusses the impacts of real time communication. Steve Martin tweets about his interview experience when audience emails were redirecting the interviewer. It is an interesting look at social media, American culture, and appreciation for live discussions.
This blog discussed many web design topics.
This particular post by Scott Gilbertson is a discussion on readability.
Trends on typography and removing clutter.
This site helps out a little bit with Child themes. I think that Professor Wolff did a pretty good job explaining them in class. But if anyone was confused at all I think that this site helps out with some examples. There were a few things that I double checked on this site as I was editing my theme.
This is a very basic theme that looks like it might be pretty interesting. I will definitely be messing around with it. I just thought that I would share it in case others might be interested.
A complex theme that I'm hoping to manipulate and use for my site. It has three columns, and looks complex but outlining the box level elements shows it's fairly simple.
