Emily Lewis 4/15/15 This website is called the National Security Agency and is a government website that provides lesson plans for teachers.  The website's purpose is to cater to the association and provide lessons to them as well people who are prospectors. The lessons I found are about fractions and are great for anyone to use and can be used by most teachers. The lesson plans are intended for the association but it has very thorough lesson plans as well as activities corresponding to them.   The content of the lesson plans is thorough and helpful. There are different lessons like "fractions on a number line" and within the lessons there is an overview, engagement ideas, worksheets, and much more. It is helpful for a teacher looking for ideas because there are a lot of different lessons about fractions. The links are under the year that they were used which is also great to know what is current and what is not. The website is a government website and the lessons refer to the NCTM standards and principles so it is a credible site. The age range varies between second and fifth grade. The design of the website is slightly hard to navigate because it is not only a website for teachers. It is the national security agency, which is based on military and government actions. The only way I could find the page that consisted of the links to lesson plans was through my Google search. After I navigated around the website, I wasn't able to get back to the lesson plan page. The page that consists of the lesson plans is easy to navigate but the rest of the website is difficult.

Mandy Toll 9/11/11 Overview: I thought that this website was very useful in finding more information on presidents of the United States. This website's audience is mainly teachers who are looking for lesson plans on U.S. presidents. It tells you information about where the presidents are born with a lesson plan to teach students in grades third through fifth. It also tells you when they were presidents and how long they were. At the top of the page there are also other lesson plans on social studies units that you can choose from the drop down and also choose your grade level that the lesson plan is geared toward. I thought that this website was very easy to use and that it would be good for other lesson plans in the future for other social studies subjects because there are a lot of resources available on the website. Content: This website from National Geographic is easy to tell the content and audience of the site. Because it has lesson plans its audience is more likely teachers who are looking for lesson plans on the U.S. presidents. The information on the site is up to date and has material on it that is appropriate for learning more about presidents. The links to other sites are current and work well. The other lesson plans on the page for other social studies units also work well. The information on the website is well organized and easy to understand. The information on the website is also accurate and consistent with similar information in other sources. There are many links to other sites that have to do with the U.S. presidents from this website to help you further your knowledge and gain more information for doing a lesson plan on presidents. Design: I thought that the website was not very attractive however there are images and other things to engage you and let you know what the website is about. Posted by Mitchell Clark 9/18/09: Lesson Planet is a search engine designed to save the effort of designing various lesson plans by providing over 150,000 teacher approved lesson plans and over 75,000 worksheets. This site provides material for all subjects in grades K-12 and also includes state standards. Content: This Education World sponsored site has an incredible amount of information that has been provided by many teachers in various fields. It has lesson plans for all grade levels and all subjects including math, science and technology, language arts, education, social studies, health, art and music, and it also includes research resources. Each lesson plan includes the author and date that the lesson plan was posted. Also every lesson plan is rated on a scale of 1-5 by other teachers so you don't waste your time searching through inadequate lessons. Another great feature about this site is that because teachers can post their own lesson plans, there are always new and relevant lesson plans. These plans are easy to access due to multiple links which are designated to different fields of education i.e. science or math. There is also a search bar at the top of the web page that allows the user to search specific lesson plans as well as narrow their search results to grade level and rating (1-5). Overall this is a well organized site that provides a wealth of knowledge. The only thing to keep in mind is that these plans are posted by individual teachers which could contribute to a partial bias in the lesson plan. Another thing to consider is that there is $40 dollar membership fee for this site which is an inconvenience, but this fee also discourages the submission of junk lesson plans and worksheets by other internet users. Design: This site is well designed and very easy to navigate. There are no advertisements or links to unrelated material. -Overview: Lesson Planet is an excellent resource for teachers to find ideas and lesson plans for specific topics and grade levels. They are able to type in exactly what they are looking for and it is just like a Google search engine just for lesson plans. There are other links to related articles and blogs for teachers, and there are places where teachers can access the standards. It is a very good place to create lessons from and gain ideas for teaching successfully in the classroom. -Content: The content is easily accessible from exactly what the teacher types in to find. There are specific tabs and easy instructions to help the teacher find what they are looking for. It is a very helpful resource tool that teachers can use to plan activities for specific subjects, for a specific standard and find worksheets and articles that relate to the topic they are teaching. There is a huge amount of content within the website that is easily accessible for anyone who would like to use it. On each page there are tabs to things that relate to the topic as well as a list of subtopics that are easily accessible as well. -Design: The creators are in the process of creating a new design that may be more visually appealing, but currently the design is very simple and professional. It has enough color and visual recognition tools to help you locate specific things quickly and find what you are looking for without creating distractions and taking away from the content. The search portion is big and centered on the top of the homepage so it is easy to type in and find exactly what you need right off the home page.

Megan Ridings ITEC 2360 Website Evaluations January 24, 2010 Overview: On the website, Elementary Lesson Plans.Net, the main purpose is to help elementary school teachers with lesson plans for all different subjects. It is clear that this website is designed for an audience of elementary school teachers, student teachers and parents who are homeschooling their children. Overall I feel that the site is well made and organized, the site is easy to navigate, and extremely helpful with online video tutorials and printable versions of lesson plans. In addition, this site is creative because aside from the creators of the site, new lesson plans are added daily by teachers in order to keep the site full of useful lesson plans. Content Summary: I have found the content of this site to be "worth bookmarking for future needs." The site is continuously being revised, as each day teachers are adding more lesson plans, in addition it is easy to tell what the purpose of the site is to be informational. The content of this site is well organized and easy to navigate and understand. The site appears to be complete, and offers a sufficient amount of information for those interested in elementary school lesson plans. The only flaws I find within the site are related to the information providers. Since the lesson plans are added by teachers and parents daily it is hard to track the authors, also it is impossible to determine whether or not the authors of pages are qualified and reliable resources. Design Summary: On this site the design is much weaker than that of the content. This site downloads efficiently, however it lacks the "eye-appeal," that I would hope for within a site based on elementary lessons. The homepage over all is strong and contains information for contacting the sponsors, as well as appropriate copyright date and other clear indicators of the contents of the site. Share My Lesson is a resource for teachers to share their lessons with other teachers, and find new ideas for lesson plans.. The page that I was particularly interested in was the high school biology teaching resources page. The intended audience for this page is biology teachers This page has a lot of different links to many different topics, and I think that it would be a great resource for a biology teacher looking for inspiration for lesson plans. The content of the site is reiterated many times, so it is very easy to determine the basic content. I wasn't really able to see who actually edits the site, but the authors of all of the lesson plans are various teachers who are members of this site. This could be a problem because I don't think there is anything requiring members to show that they are actually teachers. However, I think if a user is careful, this website would be a really excellent resource for writing lesson plans and finding worksheets etc.  The design of Share My Lesson is really well done. I think that the website looks very professional, has strong eye appeal, and it's very easy to navigate. All of the links work, and there are a lot of videos and pictures embedded into the site. The design of the site was a real strength.

Mike Wilson Site review September 18, 2009 Dr. Saul's Biology in Motion Introduction Biology In Motion is a relatively simple website designed to provide engaging animations for basic biology concepts. The site is designed for both teachers and students. Student level is Junior High School but could be easily used for entry level 10th grade Biology. Teachers can use the site for in class presentation. Teacher tips for in class use are provided. There are 9 animated self guided lessons and/or games. These lessons are information correct and convey the material to be learned very well. This is an excellent site targeted at specific biology topics. Google ranking of 6/10 - Excellent with 61 backward links. Content Evaluation First Look The home page clearly in both text and graphics conveys the purpose of the site. All the key information is above the fold. Information Providers Biology In Motion is a creation of Dr. Saul, a university Biology Professor and Web game / site developer. Links to Dr. Saul's credentials and additional websites are top left on the home page Information Currency While the site has not been updated for 4 years, there is not a need to do so. The science content is fundamental concepts that will not change. The graphics are age appropriate and play quickly. Information Quality Site is fully functional. Each interactive lesson through the use of text and animations teaches the subject concisely. There are Google link ads on each page which I do not like from a pure educational standpoint. On the other side, the ads are not obtrusive and what are a few extra bucks in a teacher's pocket. Design Evaluation Speed All pages and graphics load very quickly. Animations are well designed but are not speed bulky. Jessica Adams; Website Reviewed: September 20, 2009 "The Lessons Plan Page" is a wonderful website that lists various ways you can teach math such as games worksheets and lesson plans. CONTENT "The Lesson Plans Page" has a bulletin board that lists various topics that different teachers are discussing. Most of the teachers are giving helpful hints about how to teach different lesson plans as well as posting new lesson plans. Some of the various math subjects include; addition and subtraction, algebra, counting, date and time, decimals, fractions and percentages and the list goes on and on. DESIGN "The Lesson Plans Page" is an amazing website that I found very helpful when it came to different ideas on how to teach different variations of math. From new teacher's who aren't sure how to teach math yet to teacher's who have been teaching for years who just need new material this website is for them. It was last updated this year and was made by HotChalk Inc. Each lesson plan listed under each subject is different and very interesting as well as fun for the students. I would highly recommend this site to any teacher who needs a boost in how to teach math.

This website is for Kindergarten and earlier teachers for art class. It provides lesson plans for teachers to teach art. This website does not look professional. It has a lot of popups that come up when I am trying to navigate through the website. It was copyrighted in 1997-2014. This website is kind of useful. I found that the lesson plans were kind of confusing. They weren't actual lesson plans. They were more of suggestions that you could do for a lesson plan but they said that they were lesson plans. This website would be helpful for ideas not actual lesson plans. The overall design of the website was easy to use and navigate. However, it was not professional. At first this website does not look reliable, but when you keep looking they have some really cool idea. I would probably not use this website in the future for lesson plans.

Morgan Jenkins October 13, 2014 The author of this website wanted to help teachers find resources and lesson plans more easily. This website provides many different resources for preschool and kindergarten planning. It has lesson plans, activities, worksheets, math, and crafts. I personally feel that this site is helpful in many ways because it has a large variety of ideas and lessons. You can find specific lessons for holidays or seasons, but it still has generic lesson plans that can be modified for a specific class. The author of this website, Elaine Engerdahl, is a credible author because she taught Kindergarten for 31 years, therefore an expert by experience. The last copyright was in 2013. I would consider the materials up to date because the lessons all follow common core standards and include up to date technology and methods. There was a contact section that included the email and mailing address of the author along with a phone number. The content is clear and effective because the purpose was to help provide teachers with resources and the site effectively does that. My overall impression of this website was professional and helpful. This website was easy to navigate and had a clean design. There were buttons for lesson plans, activities, crafts and more. When you would click on the links to other websites they seemed to all work. The design of the simple but fun. There were graphics but not too many. The text was easy to read, and the font was not too big or small. Clearly the website was set up well and is easy to use.

Brianna Gillespie 9/14/11 OVERVIEW: This website is for teachers. The lesson plans on this website can be used for any grade of students; there are ABC lessons, Odyssey lessons, and many in between. This would be a very useful site for all teachers who are having troubles finding or making lessons plans. CONTENT: The content includes lesson plans, rubrics, web quests, worksheets, and teacher tips. The lesson plans range from the main subjects like math and English to physical education and poetry. The worksheets range from first grade to eighth grade. The teacher tips include different commonly asked questions for teachers. DESIGN: This website is very colorful for being for teachers. It is easy to navigate and very self-explanatory. Also, the lesson plans and worksheets are grouped either by grade or similar activities, making it very easy to find what you are looking for.

The lesson plan is broken up into different sections that a teacher would cover for the 13 weeks. Each section covers a different topic and offers links to other websites that offer additional information or examples. There are writing prompt ideas and ideas for different assignments a teacher might consider using. If it meets all the state requirements of a teacher's location, it would be a good source to use for developing a lesson plan. If not, it is a general guide for what a creative writing lesson plan should look like. Design: This web site is split into thirteen sections, in correlation for the weeks that the lesson plan is made for. Each section has a description of what is being taught and ideas on how to teach it. There are examples and links in each section. It is easy to navigate and user friendly. Attribution: The site seems credible. Anyone can use this information as long as they cite the page. I couldn't find the copy write information on the actual page but it is part of a larger website that would have it.

This website is a great FREE resource for teachers, administrators, parents and students looking for ways to incorporate technology into their classrooms. The site not only provides lesson plans for teachers but ways to help students succeed and excel for administrators and parents as well as homework help, step by step math help and games for students! There are a lot of outside links to sites that are all easy to access and navigate which is great! The content of the site is great and has been very well organized. Discovery Education does offer upgrades to gain more access to resources, but the free resources available are enough to last any educator for weeks! All of the lessons are organized by grade and then content area as well which makes it really easy to find exactly what you are looking for. There are also tabs for contact information, privacy details and terms and use which are great resources for teachers to familiarize themselves with. I think older students, probably middle school aged or older could utilize this website a lot easier than younger students because of navigation design, but the site is still great for students. The step-by-step math helper is an awesome tool for students that are having difficulty with math homework and so is the homework helper because it allows students to meet virtually and help each other with their homework with the help of educators and tutors. The design of the site is geared more towards teachers or educators, but it is still highly interactive and is easy to navigate. There are a lot of links to outside sources and they are all current and easy to operate. It is also easy to read and understand all of the lesson plans presented as well as understand the overall goals of the Discovery Communications company. Shaya Wolf - 2/26/2013 Overview This website is for teachers who are frantically looking for lesson plans. All of the plans are fairly complete and need minimal changes to make them fit a teacher's specific needs. These sites are not intended for students! It is intended for teachers and it is my personal suggestion that a teacher use these lesson plans as a starting point, not using them in their entirety. It includes many resources, but the ones that are useful to the user (a teacher) are the ones on the main page. The other links are helpful; however do not provide direct help. Overall, this site is very useful and provides quick and easy lesson plans organized by grade level and subject. Based on the content and design quality of this site, it is definitely worth your time to visit this page. Content At first look, you can easily tell what the purpose of this site is and any user could immediately identify that it is intended for teachers. The information providers are clear and easy to contact. They clearly identified the author at the bottom of the page and a link is provided to contact them. The sponsor is also clearly identified. I like how they put the author and sponsor information together so that the information is all easy to find. All of the information is current, as of 2007. It is important to note that if it were a news site, 2007 would not be current. However, lesson plans tend to be good for quite a few years before they become outdated, therefore, I consider 2007 to be current. All of the information is of quality. There is no bias obviously, but the resources given are all of good quality and they are resources that a teacher could actually and tangibly pull off the internet and use. CONTENT When opening this website you can see an organized list of every subject that you will teach to your students. You can also get information for many different age groups from pre-school to high school. This "A-Z Teacher Stuff" is a site that provides you with tips for different activities as well as resources that you can use. You can discuss ideas on this site with other teachers as well as find articles related to the topic of your choice. "A-Z Teacher Stuff", is a great way to search all the topics you are looking for through one site. You can also retrieve lesson plans and activities as well as worksheets. The content provided on this site is in abundance and every teacher could find something on this site to utilize in their classroom. This site will help you find what you are looking for. "A-Z Teacher Stuff", provides a lot of helpful things for a teacher that needs new worksheets or even a lesson plan idea to change up the classroom for the students. DESIGN When I first opened "A-Z Teacher Stuff", the amount of links was a little defeating. Overview Paragraph: The purpose of this site is to provide different lesson plans and different activities for different subject areas in different age groups. The audience is teachers because it mostly contains tools for teachers. There are all kinds of different tools such as lesson plans and games along with worksheets and assignments to go with a lesson plan. Overall this site looks like a very good resource for teaching and creating lesson plans. Content Paragraph: The content on this site is mostly run by the public. It's very up to date and there are even forums that you can go and read and post on that is updated every few hours. The site is current according to its' copyright as well. The authors aren't displayed right out in the open because it is run mostly by the public. The sponsors are educational and displayed openly. All of the links are working and operational. The content is easy to use but could be organized a little better. Design Paragraph: The front page is very clear as to what is being displayed but the background is very shocking at first. There aren't very many pictures which hinders the usability of the website. The information is all very viable and easy to understand. The graphics make it kind of hard to focus on the content itself, but still isn't terrible to deal with. There is a link that is available for any further questions that you may have about the website. 

Overview: This website is designed to assist teachers in making lesson plans for their classroom. This website is usedful because it is intended for a large range of audience from Pre-Kindergarten through 12 grade. Content: This website is organized so that users can quickly and efficiently find their needed subject lesson plans. This is also dependable because the sponsor and the authors are listed, along with contact information. The links that are posted are current and work properly. There is a lot of information, the only argument could be that there is too much and it may distract the user. Design: This website has much color and many designs. It is appealing to the user because it is navigable because of the graphics. It is also very organized so that the user can quickly find the section they are in need of and click on the link that leads directly to the needed information.

Courtney Lovell February 2, 2012 Overview: The purpose of this is to give teachers materials and lesson plans. The intended audience is educators in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. This site allows teachers to past lesson plans they have used so that others can have them for their resources. I think this website is great the only drawback is you have to sign up to use it. This is a free website and I will use it for my future references. Content: This site is very useful. At the first glimpse it is very clear what the website contains. The author of the site I available and so is a way to contact the author. The site is very organized and easy to use. The information on this site is very reliable and easy to understand. The only quality this site is lacking is the revision dates. Design: The design of this website is fantastic. It has great speed and the homepage is eye appealing. The links on this site work properly and are useful. Multimedia works well and the browser compatibility is effective for multiple browsers. Information is easy to find on this site and is easy to use. The site is lacking directions for using it properly but is a good tool for teachers.

Bradley Sharpski 2/6/12 Overview: This site is very helpful to any teacher. I have used this site before and it comes in hand when looking for any type of lesson plan. From what I have found, this site contains just about everything a new teacher could want. It has lesson plans on all subjects, helps you even create lesson plans, gives you links to other educational sites and just a community base when you need help with anything. Content: This site is easy to locate and uploads very fast. The information providers are not really easy to locate and this site shows it hasn't been updated in the past few months. The quality of this site is very good. The content is correct and offers sufficient information to the subject at hand. This site seems very organized and seems to have no grammar errors. There are links to other sites which have helpful lesson plans related to what you're looking for and provide them to all. Design: The homepage is very easy to navigate through and allows the user to find almost any lesson plan on any subject. The homepage contains the sponsorship and when it was first created as well. The navigation of this site is great. There are links to everything which is very helpful. The multimedia of the site is hard to find. I had trouble with this but looking through some lesson plans, the site provides links to multimedia sites which you can use from there. After looking through this site, the content seems to be in working order and presented very well. This site seems to be up to date and has tons of links to follow which could be very helpful.

Whitney Mills; Website Reviewed: January 24th 2010 Overview: Funlessonplans.com is my favorite site that I have looked at to review simply because it involves lesson plans. I feel that becoming a new teacher, lesson plans would be the hardest thing to try to come up with. This website involves lesson plans for many different subjects which could be a huge help for future teachers. Content: The purpose of this website is to help future teachers with lesson plans. The author is clearly identified and the website is revised often. It is very organized and provides a user with tabs to help navigate throughout the site. There is a contact address to ask questions if needed. The links to the other sites are current and they do work properly. The website is very well made and looks professional. I would use this website in my future often if I was having difficulties with lesson plans. The intended audience of this website is meant for teachers. Design: The design of this website is very clear and easy to follow. The website has the same them throughout the whole site. The homepage downloads efficiently and has a strong eye appeal. I was able to move around the site easily and was overall very happy with the design of this website.

Sydney Fancher Thinkfinity Overview: This website is intended to help teachers with finding new lesson plans. It is helpful because it has lesson plans pertaining to such a wide variety of subjects, most teachers could find something they find helpful. It is difficult to determine how often new lesson plans are added but the course appears to updated frequently. In general, this website is a good resource for teachers to have when they are looking for a change up to their normal lesson plans. Content: Thinkfinity is a website that is designed for teachers. Specifically it is to help with new ideas for lesson plans that can be used at any grade level and content area. The site it's self is mainly just a tool to link you with lesson plans. The lesson plans that it has chosen to show you are all highly original and have enough information with them that it makes it easy for the teacher to use them in their own classroom. They often times even include lesson plans for grading. The only criticism I have is that it is unclear how often new lesson plans are added to the site so the site may become less effective for a teacher over time, but, generally, it seems to be incredibly helpful. Design: The design is based largely around the site sponsor: Verizon. Therefore, the design is appealing, but seems very commercial. The actual layout of the site, though, is extremely user- friendly. All of the links are working and helpful. Also, the site allows for you to search for lesson plans that are grade and content area specific. Then, once the teacher has found lesson plans that are appropriate for the students they are teaching, the search can be narrowed even further into specific subjects, such as a specific book or vocabulary. This feature, among others, is what makes this site effective for a large number of teachers.

Overview: I really like this website. I feel it offers a lot of information and there are ample lesson plans and ideas for activities to do when it comes to doing a unit on the Olympics. The design is eye catching and easy to follow. The content if very worthwhile and the lesson plans are written by teachers who have used them in their own classrooms and have submitted them to this site. All of the lesson plans range from 1997-2011 and vary with what is needed to be taught. I feel the website is well designed, very useful for future teacher's who need lesson plans related to the Olympics or other units, and provides significant information as a future teacher who needs ideas. Content: This website provides many lesson plans related to the Olympics that teachers have used in their own classrooms, and this website also provides other units and themes that future or present educators can use in classrooms of their own. When it comes to research, there isn't much offered for that because this site is for lesson plans and activities to use in education. However, while it may not be a good resource for research, I feel as an educator needing ideas and lesson plans this website would be great to use because there is such a variety in ideas for lesson plans. This website is for educators or anyone needing a project for children to use on the Olympics, and everything on it is easy to understand and easy to navigate as well. Design: The design of this website is very eye catching and easy to use. The site title is in bright colors and there is a table of contents to the left with all of the themes offered within the website. All of the information is clearly labeled and is offered for all grade levels as well. The information is significant to what is needed as long as lesson plans and activities are what the researcher is looking for. A basic format is used throughout the site where all of the lesson plans are provided on the page and links provide the actual lesson

This website, Incredible Art Lessons, is orangized very well and is very easy to navigate through. The intent and purpose of the website is very clear, it is specifically designed to give support and ideas to art teachers for a wide range of ages. There are many different links that teachers can use to get ideas for new projects from. The website also has lesson plans and ideas for all age groups in school, ranging from elementary lessons to undergraduate lessons. I really liked how the site also provided art project ideas for each holiday. The site also provides online activities for students for each project/idea. The lay out of the website is very easy to use and all of the links are current and helpful. At the bottom on the webpage there is a clear way to contact the creators of the website, and it was last copyrighted in 2009.

This website is for both students and teachers. Grade levels from K-8 were posted with activities and lesson plans for each grade. There are games for students to play as well as lesson plans and activities for teachers. The purpose of the website is to make math more fun. I feel like this site is awesome because both teachers and students can benefit from the materials posted. There are worksheets for free on this site so it is a good resource for new teachers. The owner of this site is Jumpstart. They have been in business for over 20 years. This website had a current 2014 copyright date. Therefore I would consider this site to be up to date in all aspects. The games and lesson plans are based off of the Common Core standards and they try to push the students to learn the next step. This website was harder to navigate around. There were way too many links and buttons. This also is good because there is a lot of information, but it can get a little tricky to navigate. The design is very appealing to kids. They have a lot of cartoon characters and bright colors. The section for kids is easy to navigate so I would recommend it as a good resource for students. The teacher's section is the most challenging to navigate because there is so much going on. Overall there are parts that are better set up than others, but as a majority there is just way too much going on as far as the design goes.
