Kandase Quinn 9/5/11 Overview: Made for teachers teaching K-12. This website gives lesson plans for all different grade levels and all different subjects. It is clear and easy to use and I found it useful when thinking of new ways to present different material to students. Design: Lay out is easy to navigate throughout the different links. They have a contact link and the copyright is clearly stated. Texts are all readable and all links and pictures worked. Content: This site has printable, assessments, special needs resources and lesson plans by subject and theme. There are also many other links on this site to get more information that this site may not have.

Katrina Swanson February 26, 2013 The intended purpose of this website is to provide teachers from many different grade levels access to creative and fun lesson plans, printables and other fun activities to include in their classrooms. Content: This website contains a lot of material that is very informational and helpful to teachers. There are links to almost any subject and more to incorporate into a classroom. Design: The design of this website is attractive but pretty basic. It is for teachers to use not students, and this is very clear just from looking at the different pages. Everything runs smoothly and the links seem to be working properly!

The website provides activities and games that you can print for a variety of subjects. Content: This website is an excellent website for teachers because it allows you to print a variety of material. The website has everything from baseball bar graphs to sound flash cards. The website has many different topics including sports, seasons, art, writing, phonics and so on. It includes several different printable pages for every topic. Design: This website is very easy to navigate. It labels all subjects very clearly and does not take much time at all to find exactly what you are looking for. Attribution: This website does have a membership fee, but allows you to print many things for free. It does not ask for a sign in to print, or to navigate away from the homepage. The links work well and are very quick.

It includes grades pre k-12th. Content: Scholastic provides different activities for students, parents, and teachers. It is an excellent website for everyone. The only disadvantage is that it cost $39.99 a year. But that is relatively cheap for all that it provides. For teachers it provides lesson plans, activities, books to buy, games, and printables. It includes every subject and every grade. It provides information from real teachers throughout the states including strategies, how to integrate technology, time management and much more. Scholastic provides many very useful tips for new teachers. It provides printables for those who finish quickly and for those that need more help along with homework worksheets. Scholastic brings everything that a teacher will need and puts it all on one website for quick and easy results. Design: Scholastic is very easy to navigate. It clearly labels all topics, and has a search bar for a those who need things fast. Scholastic is very colorful and appealing to the eye. It allows you to search by both subject and grade so you can easily marrow down what you are looking for. Attribution: Since you must pay for the site, everything is downloadable and easy to use. It does not require any extra work to remove all unnecessary information from the page before you print.

Keenan Zimmerman 2/1/2011 Review of: http://www.busyteacherscafe.com/ Overview: Busyteachercafe is a site designed to help K-6 teachers come up with ideas. There are printables, strategies, themes, email sections and a store where I'm not sure what exactly you can buy. Most of the sections have useful ideas a teacher can use. The website is very colorful and looks like it is geared more toward 1-3 graders rather than on up to 4th 5th and 6th grade. It is not a very good website both in content and design. It has potential but at the moment it is not a very good site. Content: The content of the website seems very useful but it is very limited. There are few actual lessons or printables in each section. If the website is brand new than in a couple months I might say the website is very good content wise but at the moment the content is rather poor, another strike because we have no idea how old the site or information within the site are. The author of the material is nowhere to be found and even the e-mail section gives no clues as to who you are writing to. Design: The design is the worst part of the website. Although it has easy directions and it is rather easy to find what you are looking for, the site is littered with adds which are annoying and the search option is horrible finding almost nothing on the site when I used it. The search in the store section doesn't seem to come up with anything and because everything on the site is free I'm not sure why a store even exists.

kidopo.com Reviewed by Kristie Neises on 8/30/2010 Overview The purpose of this site is to provide free online resources for classroom activities for younger age level students in elementary school. It provides coloring pages, games, printable goodies, and craft ideas. The website is very good in both content and design. It has a theme that fits for its intended audience with bright colors and pictures. Everything within the site works very well and has a purpose. This site is worth bookmarking for anyone teaching preschool to first grade. Content Everything about this site is well done. It posts all of its legal information and contacts as links at the bottom of the page. Things that are to be given credit from another site are done so clearly. The purpose of the site is clear, to provide entertainment to teachers to use in their classroom. The content is bias free or hard to detect. All information appears to be accurate and up to date and is supplied when necessary. Overall the content is complete and cleanly done in a way that does not take away from the visual aspects of the site. Design The design of this site is extremely well done as well. The main navigation bar at the top is easy to use and clearly states each category that the site offers and makes using the site very easy. The graphics are perfect for the intended audience as elementary teachers with pictures like school buses and flowers and are not overdone. The site has sufficient information and organizes it well into categories that can be easily browsed. Links are not broken and lead to sites that are relevant and helpful as well. The site is also fantastic in keeping up to date even changing content to go with the seasons so that there are activities for every major part of the school year.

Shea Mangold September 1, 2010 This website is fantatsitc. The content it well organized it has a tool bar at the top to access exaclty what you need from articles, to tips, to discussions, to lesson plans (!) even a search engine. The targeted audience is hard to tell, many lesson plans can be used for a lot of different grades, but with the photos and extra's it could be more targeted at elementary ed but could also work for secondary. This website supports a bunch of other teaching websites and it is listed on the page. I cannot find where the author is listed but at the bottom of the page it has (© 1997- 2010 A to Z Teacher Stuff, L.L.C. All Rights Reserved.Use of this site signifies your agreement to the terms of use.Send questions, comments, and suggestions to webmaster@atozteacherstuff.com) So there is a place to talk to one of the authors. It doesn't have where the whole website has last been updated but the copywrite shows it's been updated in 2010. The teacher discussion forum is uploaded with new discussions every hour. And the lesson plans are updated frequently. All of the content is complete, the conection works very fast, and most importantly all of the super helpful stuff is free, no gymics saying it is the first time then you have to pay. The design meets up the the content perfectly. It is 100% professional. It makes you feel comfortable that you are on a trusted website. The graphics are appropriate for any grade of teachers, The store is appropriate and all of the sponsors look great on the page. All of the information is useful, clearly presented, and is easy on the eyes. I would give the content and design both an A.

A-Z Teacher Stuff - Review on 10/4/12 Diigo i.d= Jessle33 A-Z Teacher stuff's purpose is to provide a way to help teachers find online resources more quickly and easily. It helps to find lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, books etc. for the everyday teacher to help them out in the classroom. The site is designed for teachers of pretty much any grade level k-12 and any subject they teach. There are various resources available to them such as: themes, lessons, tips, articles, discussion, printables, and ages. All of these tabs at the top of the site take you to where you want to go and help to narrow your search in the area of your necessities. My overall impression of this site is that it is very helpful to teachers and can really help them find the things they are looking for in their classrooms. There was so much to choose from and so many categories that are available. Teachers need help to and this site does just that.

Chelsea Brunski 10-08-12 Overview The purpose of this site is to provide help to students with math. The website allows student or teachers to create worksheets. They also have an interactive game section and flashcards to help with math subjects. There is also a homework helper section. It is intended for students' k-12. There is a resource that is very helpful which breaks down the entire grade levels. My impression of this website is that it is an okay website but not the best. It has some very useful and neat components to it which I would use often. It doesn't look like much effort was put into making this site. Content This website says that it is intended for k-12 but there isn't ever different sections on this particular site that distinguishes that. The link that is provided is the only site that actually has different levels of content. I do think that the homework helper is a very useful tool for younger age kids. It can only help with basic math skills. If you need help with upper division math then this tool would not be useful to you. The worksheet section is one of the best things that this site has on it. This tool isn't just for students but can be used by teachers. It allows you to create your own worksheet dealing with different subjects in math. The only problem is that this is also for more basic level math. The game section is very small and limited. It only gives you games concerning addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This wouldn't be for any of the upper grades only for lower grades. Design The website doesn't draw you in at all. You have to read the homepage to really understand what the website is even about. It doesn't look like much effort was put into designing this website. There are different tabs on the left hand side that allow you to navigate the site. These are easy to navigate to. It looks like the website really just wants you to go to the other link that is provided. This link is much more

Jessica Lee 10/21/2013 Overview: The purpose of this site is to help students (elementary and middle school aged) improve their math skills by offering flashcards, online games, a homework helper, and worksheets. However, the overuse of internal links within the introduction makes navigating through the website confusing and distracting. In addition, because it requires Java (which I don't have), it is useless and inoperable. The only decent thing about this website is that it provides an external link to Mathway.com - a website that answers basic math problems. Content: They have decent material as far as helping students improve their math skills; however, because the website is inoperable without the Java, the content is basically nonexistent. Their ideas include having the students work on flashcards, playing content-rich games, providing worksheets, and a basic homework helper that answers their problems. Design: The design of this website is so displeasing, that I knew that I would never use it after first glance. The color scheme is distracting and the layout is unorganized. Some positive points about this site, however, is that the table of contents on the side is useful and tells the viewer what to expect. In my opinion, they should have concealed the internal links in the introduction so that it does not take away from everything else. It's very choppy to the eye rather than being smooth and connected.

Especially useful for k-6th grades, but has content for every grade. Content: Although this website must be paid for, you can still get many things free. It is very cheap to join only $20.00 a month and well worth it. This site provides information on a variety of languages from everything from English to Dutch. It has every subject matter as well science, math, history, and writing. It has printables, lesson plans, places for students to look things up, activities, and books to print. This website is very helpful for teachers because it has such a wide variety of things. Design: This website is very easy to navigate. The only problem I have run into is on occasion it will not accept the login. The website is very colorful and attracts the attention of young minds easily. It is full of pictures to aid learning. Attribution: Since you must pay for this website, or even the pages you can get without paying for them, you can use everything on this site without citations. A student can get on and take information without plagiarizing. Teachers can print everything on the site. The point of the site is to have information and printables that are easily accessible by teachers and easily usable by teachers.

Amanda Lemaster January 24, 2011 overview: The purpose of this website is to provide materials and ideas for elementary age children. It is intended for teachers or children to use. The resources in the website are almost endless, there are activity worksheets, coloring pages, and craft ideas. I feel that this website could be very useful for a teacher, or even a parent. The content is semi-educational, so I be careful with how I use it. content: There is a lot of content in this website. Almost all the resources that can be used are print-out activities. There are coloring pages, maps, diagrams and basic information about specific subjects. The subjects range from animals, to music to geography. There might almost be too much to this website, just be prepared to weed through a lot of information about the subject used. design: The design of this website is not exactly what most people would call up to date. When a person looks at this website they may think that this is an unreliable source. Just because of the poor quality of how it looks. There is lots of white space and many bold colors that stand out. The layout is very simple. The website is useful but could have a little better layout.

The purpose of this website is to provide information on various topics. LearningEnchanted.com provides information including sciences, literature, arts and crafts, history, and many content areas. The information provided seems to be directed towards an older audience whose life entails interaction with young children. However, it is very possible that grade school children would be able to access the website themselves. There is an "early reader's" section where children can access short chapter books or short stories. My overall impression of this website was fair. It met many of the credentials provided on the criteria sheets for content and design. However, it lacked visual appeal but excelled at providing applicable information for me as a future educator. Content: At first look, this website clearly identified its purpose and content. The founders of this website, Jeananda Col and Mitchell Spector, were clearly credited. Information on both is provided. The authors were both very well qualified to present this information and held degrees in various fields. Contact information was available. This website is updated quite frequently. Last update was on August 25, 2011. I did not find any links to outside websites. They were all connected within the EnchantedLearning site. The purpose was clear. There was commercial use because you can subscribe to the website to get more access. Also, there was basic access to many web pages that made it informational as well. The content does present the information in an effective manner but the site lacks the use of interactive opportunities. Based on my knowledge, all the information provided appeared to be accurate, consistent, and in good grammar. Although a huge fault of this website was the lack of exterior links, the content of this website are very helpful for future educators and parents. Katrina Swanson February 26, 2013 Overview: This website was created by a kindergarten teacher who wanted to share her ideas and lesson plans from inside her own classroom. It is intended for the kindergarten aged level but teacher access only. The teacher looks at the material and then creates her own ideas from it. The site gives tons of lesson plans for every day of the month and even extra fun things to do with kindergarteners. Content: The content of this site is very helpful to kindergarten or early childhood teachers. It is easy to determine what the site contains and also that it is created by a former kindergarten teacher. There is contact info available to contact her if there are any questions or ideas that come up. She provides updated content to the site daily and the links are all working correctly. The site is intended for others to get information as well as entertainment from to use in their classes. Design: The design of the website is very fun and entertaining. It includes lots of visuals of example lesson plans, words, links to different places on the site, videos and even has printables! The pages load efficiently and the links are correctly labeled. The information is organized in a way that everyone is able to view easily. It is a great website for any kindergarten teacher to have to spice up their classrooms!!

Tyler Rogers February 4, 2012 Overview: The purpose of this website is to provide educators with activities and lessons for space science. This website is geared towards educators. Viewers will find classroom activities, a list of standards that the site address, and links to other educational space science sites. The site is very easy to navigate, and the lessons and activities provided are of high quality. I would recommend this site to educators because of the excellent lessons, and because of the simple, yet effective layout of the entire site.  Content:  From the first click, the content is clear. Information about the author, including contact information, can be difficult to find. Revision dates are found at the bottom of the home page. By picking one of the listed topics, users will find activities and experiments created by the author. These activities can be effective for many grade levels. They are free of bias, and all the links function properly. Most of the activities contain printer-friendly pages for both the educator and the students. Design: This site has a simple design. The home page is clean, and the table of contents is clear. Copyright information and recent revision dates are available near the bottom of the screen. The site is remarkably easy to navigate: any link in the table of contents will take users to a list of every activity or classroom experiment available for that topic. Selecting an activity will then take users straight to the printable lesson. The actual lessons are all in black and white so that they can be printed easily.  This website uses very little media, as pictures only contribute to the home page, and title the banner of any other page. This site is compatible with multiple web browsers. 

Megan Ridings ITEC 2360 Website Evaluations January 24, 2010 Overview: On the website, Elementary Lesson Plans.Net, the main purpose is to help elementary school teachers with lesson plans for all different subjects. It is clear that this website is designed for an audience of elementary school teachers, student teachers and parents who are homeschooling their children. Overall I feel that the site is well made and organized, the site is easy to navigate, and extremely helpful with online video tutorials and printable versions of lesson plans. In addition, this site is creative because aside from the creators of the site, new lesson plans are added daily by teachers in order to keep the site full of useful lesson plans. Content Summary: I have found the content of this site to be "worth bookmarking for future needs." The site is continuously being revised, as each day teachers are adding more lesson plans, in addition it is easy to tell what the purpose of the site is to be informational. The content of this site is well organized and easy to navigate and understand. The site appears to be complete, and offers a sufficient amount of information for those interested in elementary school lesson plans. The only flaws I find within the site are related to the information providers. Since the lesson plans are added by teachers and parents daily it is hard to track the authors, also it is impossible to determine whether or not the authors of pages are qualified and reliable resources. Design Summary: On this site the design is much weaker than that of the content. This site downloads efficiently, however it lacks the "eye-appeal," that I would hope for within a site based on elementary lessons. The homepage over all is strong and contains information for contacting the sponsors, as well as appropriate copyright date and other clear indicators of the contents of the site. The purpose of this website is to provide teachers with tools that will help their students learn better. It provides teachers with titles of popular books for elementary students as an example of an available resource. The website also includes lesson plans, thematic units, seasonal items, teacher resources, printable worksheets, and collaboration projects. My impression based on content and design is that the website is very easy to use and has helpful information for teachers. Content: Based on the content of this website it is easy to determine the content of the website. The author of the website is identified at the bottom of the website. The purpose of this website is very clear; it provides teachers with some resources and links to other websites that might be helpful for teachers to use. The information on this website is definitely accurate because it is solely dedicated to help teachers improve their teaching skills. There are links that are related to the needs of the audience. Theteacherscorner.net is very useful and definitely worth bookmarking. Design: The homepage downloaded very quickly and the homepage is attractive and uses graphics to make the user know that they are on the homepage. The user is able to move around the site with ease and links to other websites are helpful and appropriate and the information is clearly labeled and organized. The copyright date is easy to find however, it does not show the date of the last revision. This website is very well designed and easy to use.

Taylor Pilch 09/09/2011 Overview: The purpose of this site is to provide parents a great resource for fun ideas for their kids. Some of the available resources are online games, ideas for recipes and activities at home relating to characters on nickjr., and videos. My overall impression of this site is really good; it looks fun and it is full of fun things to do! Content: Some of the strengths of the content of this website are that it is easy to find out what this website is about, and it is easy to navigate. The information is current and the information quality is good- the links work and it seems to be a reliable website. The content is organized and it is clear that this website is for parents (although they can set up games for their children to play online). The only weakness regarding content is I could not find an author of the site. Design: The design of this website is excellent; everything is working properly and it is attractive. It is easy to find where to go based on what you want to do. The use of multimedia is good and kids would really like all the videos and pictures it contains. It seems to work with both internet explorer and firefox browsers. The website is current and I found no weaknesses with the design.

Overview: This is a free website that is based on a television channel for preschool aged kids. It has games and activities for kids and recipes, videos, and tips for parents. Content: The homepage of the site has a toolbar and a sub-toolbar. The main toolbar gives users the option of looking at the family/parent content, the kid content, or a list of all of the network's TV shows. For parents, the site offers parenting tips, printable activities parents can do with their kids, recipes, and articles about family life. Kids can play games, watch videos, and do activities (like drawing). Design: This website is bright and very stimulating. It is easy to navigate. I like how when you click on the kids tab, it opens a whole new window that only includes the things kids would be interested in. It doesn't take anymore than 3 clicks to get to anything you want on the site. I think it is well designed.

Overview: Fuel the Brain is a math website which provides games for students at different learning levels. This site is mainly geared towards lower grades including K, 1, 2 and 3. This site seems really fun upon first glance. Not only are there games for children, there are also printable worksheets for teachers and parents. Teacher guides and articles are also available.  Content: This website offers games that cover counting, numbers, operations, algebraic thinking and geometry. These games would be ideal for young children. The website has minimal advertising. The author information is available under the 'About' link and the contact information is available under the link labeled 'Contact'. The copyright is not available. Design: Fuel the Brain's homepage is very colorful and attractive to younger children. However, older students would not appeal to this website. At the top of the homepage the links are provided clearly for easy navigation. 

Overview: This site had many games involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It could be used for all grade levels because you can adjust the level of difficulty on each game. There were daily puzzles, word games, math games, and printable activities. The site is meant to make math fun and it uses creative games to do that. The ability to adjust the difficulty level makes it great for a classroom because you can make the activities grow as the student's understanding grows. Content: This website loads quickly and has an eye appealing front page. There are suggestions of popular math games but there is also a website index at the top of the page. The index was organized into understandable categories. The games uploaded and played without pause to load. The brain teasers and games were correct to the best of my knowledge. There were also links to math trick videos and other game ideas. This website could be used in the classroom as a fun reward for students who finish their in class homework early. Design: The homepage downloads efficiently. The site sponsor, contact information, and date of last revision are not easily accessible. The website also does not run as well in other browsers. I was using Google Chrome. The list of links are very well organized and easy to use. Each link had a description of the game before you click on it to see what it is. The instructions for the games were easy to follow and very logical and concise.

Aylin Márquez 13 September 2011 Overview: The Problem Site.com provides educational games, daily puzzles, word, and math games designed for teachers and Pre-K-12th grade students. Reference and printables tabs provide a free educational source for teachers. The site provides mathematical problems from previous years with their solutions included that influence students' analytical thinking. Interactive games are also designed to improve students' memorization. Content: Although the basic content of the site is easily determined, the user needs to check internal links to determine the intended audience of the site. If the audience is young children, they may need adult assistance to navigate within the site since the site has advertisements that can be considered inappropriate (games, dating sites, and etc.). The site has an overview that explains how the site was started and what it is about. A contact person and address are also available for users to ask questions. Both the site overview and contact information are located at the bottom of the site. Overall, the purpose of the site is clear, and the information appears to be accurate. Design: The homepage is designed well and downloads efficiently. It is appealing for mainly high school students and teachers. The user is able to navigate easily. The internal links work properly and are helpful and appropriate. However, there are advertisements that may not be appropriate for young children. The graphics and animations serve a clear purpose. A list of links is well organized, clearly labeled, and easy to use. The site also includes a search area where users can look for other educational sources.

Overview This site is for grade levels kindergarten through high school. It has so many different subjects that you can access from Reading and Writing, Math, Social Studies, Science, Language, and Foreign Languages. To help the students prepare for these subjects for tests, quizzes, or even homework, this website has test prep for all grades and subjects. This website has puzzles, printable activities, and critical thinking exercises for students to engage in and have more fun on the website. This website also includes information for teachers. Teachers are able find lesson plans and worksheets for their classrooms. This website is very well layed out and easy to navigate for teachers and students. My observation of this website is good. Content There are so many different subjects you can learn about, and every subject has different content that contains important information that you can learn about. You can learn about anything! This website mandates that you be a member in order to be able to make use of all the activities and information. Design This website design is very easy to maneuver and navigate through. The subjects are surrounded by many different games, puzzles, and critical thinking activities that students can access. It is very well organized and has great pictures and themes. This website clearly shows that it is very informative and promotes interaction by the student or teacher.

Brianna Gillespie 9/14/11 OVERVIEW: This website is very kid friendly; it is colorful and easy to navigate. It has a wide variety of activities for children of all ages. It is a good website for teachers to use in their classrooms because of the many different lessons that can be learned. CONTENT: This website has activities focused on Kindergarten through second grade and third through sixth grade. Some of the main headings include games and activities, videos, eBooks, printables, and teacher resources. This website has quizzes too. Also, there is a library that children can look through to find books on many different topics. These would all very useful for teaching lessons. DESIGN: The design is very colorful and decorated like it is underwater; it is very appealing. I did come across a few links that did not work; however, I do not know if they are temporarily down or need to be fixed. All of the topics to choose from spell school with a q (sqool); I do not like this because it may confuse children about the correct way to spell school.

Jessica Adams; Website Reviewed: September 20, 2009 "The Teacher's Corner" is a fabulous website that provides helpful hints for different grades, subjects, and problems. As well as different links that provide helpful information for the use in classrooms. CONTENT This website contains wonderful information that could help out any teacher of any grade, subject, new or old. I clicked on a link that provided helpful tips for new teachers who are going to teach Kindergarten.Various teacher's put in what they felt new teachers should know and I found it helpful. There are also links available for lesson plans, thematic units, seasonal items, printable worksheets, book nook, and even a link that lists teaching jobs. DESIGN "The Teacher's Corner" is a wonderful and very organized website. It allows teachers to get helpful tips from fellow teachers of their own subject or grade. There are also links available for teachers to get materials that they might need to teach certain themes as well as having worksheets available. This site lists teaching jobs that are available as well as having bulletin boards posted that are filled with various information. This site was last updated this year, however it does not list the authors of this page because so many teachers have made up this site. I would use this website in the future when I am teaching and need helpful tips or different resources. It is a wonderful site!

Casey KarchOctober 5, 2012Overview: The purpose of the Math Drills website is to provide a mathematics tool to instructors and parents through worksheets. They provide worksheets for elementary students to complete in grades one through six, ranging from just about anything they will need to learn to move through the district channels. Answer keys are provided as well. The intended audience is parents and teachers, helping to develop the children. The resources available to this site are links to worksheets, a tour of the website, and a link to contact the teachers and technicians that worked on the site. My impression is that it can be extremely useful for instructors and parents needing to get their students extra practice in mathematics. It is not an overwhelmingly designed site, so it is nice to navigate. Everything is in order and easy to understand. Content: The content in this site is exceptional. The main downfalls of it are the lack of hard information and varying information. It only contains worksheets, not explanations of the material. Other then that, it does not contain a date of last revision. On the plus side, the first look and information quality are excellent. The content will be very useful for teachers and parents, saving a lot of time. Design: Design is not very eye catching, but all the information is clearly labeled and easy to access. Home page is a nice touch, not too extravagant but not too boring. The use of multimedia, browser compatibility, and content presentation all appeal to multiple ages, making it an excellent source.
