    Organize twitter feeds
  •
As I expand my social media life, I see TweetDeck as the logical tool to manage my Twitter feeds, whether to following a particular user or a subject. For now, I see this more as a teacher tool than student tool being able to follow classroom feeds, hashtags, and multiple Twitter accounts. It would be much more useful on a computer with a large monitor, but it certainly beats having an extra browser tabs open. I could see students perhaps using this application to follow their classroom feeds, but likely with limited use. I have not seen this type of application before. I was hooked on it right away. Thanks for sharing!

A great way to organize your hashtags you follow, participate in tweetchats, and keep an eye on your twitter feed.

WorkFlowy - Organize your brain. - 2 views

  •
I think I will give this one a try! I watched the tutorial and looks easy to organize work, personal and school to-do lists.
  •
I just signed up for this application. As a busy teacher, and now a busy graduate student, I need a place to compile all of my thoughts. Without a 1:1 initiative this would be hard for students to use. It seems best adapted for laptop and computer use. It does teach good skills, however, like breaking up big tasks into smaller tasks, and writing an outline. This system reminds me of Getting Things Done, which is based on a series of file folders. I have tried creating something similar with Evernote. Maybe this program and Evernote would play nicely together? I will give it a try and write a blog post about it if it works.

To-do list and task manager. Free, easy, online and mobile: Todoist - 1 views

Students can use this to do list as a chrome extension. This could replace their paper planner as a way to organize events and homework.

Kenton - This looks like a powerful tool for teachers and students alike in productivity! I can see myself using this to stay organized with tasks that I need to complete and encouraging students to use it. I watched a video and it said you can share tasks with others. I think this would be helpful to be the teacher and share the "to do list" with the whole class. Can you tell if this is a possibility? I love the chrome extension so it is available at an easy click through my email and my main screen (we're a google and chromebook school, so it's nice to find things that work well with those. I also like the app features on other devices.

On this site you can find specific sites that you use all the time and they keep them all as thumbnails for bookmarking. This would be a nice way to organize sites/tools that you have students use.

Britta, I can't believe that amount of resources available within this site. I especially like 204 products for teacher needs. I visited the few that are listed for grading, attendance and efficiency. I really need a tool that allows me to track attendance. Our policy allows students 2 days to complete missed work for everyday they have beenabsent. I don't do a very good job sticking to that because I don't have a good system to keep track!

Brain breaks kids love - GoNoodle - 0 views

This site allows teachers to have an organized list of brain breaks for kids. The site is interactive and kids choose an avatar that builds as they do more activities.

I am on the Blue Zone Committee for the building, and this looks like a valuable resource for me. Brain Breaks are very useful with 4th graders. Have you tried looking up "Just Dance" Videos on Youtube? I have a collection saved to my personal youtube channel called, "Brain Breaks." http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUN_fyIUtwFrGc-c0f-E7Ai14fW0WTeIk

"The most powerful Twitter tool for real-time tracking, organizing and engagement."
  •
I really think that TweetDeck could be very helpful for my classroom. I have joined numerous twitter feeds on education and technology and at least TweetDeck will help me keep them straight. I think that TweetDeck is mostly for teacher use. I believe this because during the school day, most districts usually have sites like twitter and other social media blocked. I have also seen TweetCaster which is similar to TweetDeck with a free and paid version. TweetDeck is nice but TweetCaster also allows you to hide certain people from the twitter feed without actually unfollowing them.
