She also talks about how schools need to be properly equipped for integration. She gives ideas of how to start and what the administrators as well as the teachers need to do. As prospective educators ourselves, this would be of great use to us.

Students in 600 districts nationwide will have their very own Apple iPad. A lot of schools have scratch textbooks and moved to using ebooks on the iPad. There are so many different lectures, videos, and textbooks on the Apple's ITunes U Store for students to use.

The article speaks about President Obama's delivering his State of the Union address, and his first line was about the commitment of passionate teachers who have help increase graduation rates across the country. The important thing delighting education technology leaders, Obama made the announcement about delivering high-speed broadband to 15,000 schools. This would result in 20 million students with new digital learning opportunities. President Obama also spoke about the Race to the Top program, which he said "has helped states raise expectations and performance." Obama talked about how it requires everything from more challenging curricula and more demanding parents to better support for teachers and new ways to measure how well our kids think, not how well they can fill in a bubble on a test.

It said that technology helps with personal and social responsibility. It said that technology helps change the student/teacher roles and relationships, with technology it gives the students more responsibility and accountability. As a whole, I felt this article was great for our class because it was showing the benefits of technology in a classroom.

Depicted in the documentary "If You Build It', it shows 10 high school teens in Bertie County helping their local community make a difference and building a farmers market. Instead of sitting in desks and learning in a classroom all day, they took to the land and began to build. They incorporated hands-on shop lessons and used technology to map out the design of the farmers market. They were instructed to think outside of  the box which made their experience all the more valuable.

UNC-Greensboro won a massive grant of $7.7 million that will go towards technology integration. The article appealed to me because I am a math major, and the money is specifically meant for training future educators in the fields of science, technology and engineering and math. In my opinion, this is a big step in other schools possibly winning similar large grants. Additionally, it shows the recognition of large schools taking part in technology integration.  

This article highlights how tablet based apps derived from classic thinking games, puzzles, and problems in recreational math are becoming a viable option to integrate technology into curriculum. The article states that puzzle apps are fantastic tools for training students to be creative mathematical thinkers. These apps align with the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice as well which makes this article important to our class because it gives us as future teachers an affordable option to integrate technology into our classroom that meets the Common Core Standards.

This article is helpful to us as future teachers. This teacher states that she was always the student falling asleep during her boring lectures. Now that she teaches she has thought of fun and exciting ways to integrate technology into her classroom presentations to keep students engaged! She loves using polls and encourages using social media also!

I think this article is helpful for me because as a future history teacher, lectures and presentations are going to be inevitable. Therefore, its important to think of the students and how they can be actively involved and engaged and enjoying the lesson!

This article explains the best way to integrate technology. It mentions Edmodo, which we use in our classroom, as well as other applications that can be used within a classroom. It speaks about having a balance in your classroom, and mentions the best method to integrating technology is to have a plan as well as a back up plan. 

It is important as a teacher to know how to use classroom management especially with technology involved in the classroom.

I also found this article very interesting. It points out very important information on applications used in the classroom, integrating technology, and always having a back up plan which is very important.

Realizing that technology is just an AID and not a substitute for good teaching is something I believe lots of people are forgetting. This article backs that.
