    This article highlights how tablet based apps derived from classic thinking games, puzzles, and problems in recreational math are becoming a viable option to integrate technology into curriculum. The article states that puzzle apps are fantastic tools for training students to be creative mathematical thinkers. These apps align with the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice as well which makes this article important to our class because it gives us as future teachers an affordable option to integrate technology into our classroom that meets the Common Core Standards.

    I like the 19 points in teaching students. Every single point is something teachers should be doing today, a lot of them are more important than most people think such as, keep them spelling, or keep science in every day. Also have them learn in their native language.

    This is the description from Brendan. This article describes a website that is designed for helping teachers who are not technically savvy ease into the technology integration process with students. It has nineteen different applications that teachers could use in class such as an online weather forecast, online SAT practice, spelling lists, and many others. This article could be very helpful to us because it offers a site which makes using technology in the classroom easy. For someone who is just learning how to combine education with technology, this website would be extremely helpful.

    It is an old tradition in Finland to teach a school subject dealing with the use of machines, materials, processes, techniques, and tools. Since 1866, educational sloyd (handicraft) has been a compulsory school subject for both boys and girls. In the technology teacher education program at the Department of Teacher Education in Rauma, University of Turku, students are able to take the curriculum for either one or two teaching subjects. In addition to technology education, a second teaching subject, such as an elementary education or mathematics, entitles them to teach in primary school as an elementary or mathematics teacher. In the technology teacher education program, students study a variety of technologies, mechanical and electrical engineering, product design, project studies, research methodology and statistics, educational sciences and ethics, developmental psychology, didactics of technology education, administration, evaluation, and sociology of education.
