The article I found was very interesting. HARMAN, a leading technological company and Little Kids Rock, a national music nonprofit teamed together in a partnership to strengthen music education across the country. I enjoyed this article, it descriptively broke down the 4 C's and their contribution to educational technology. Education has come very far in terms of technological advancement and this article should prove very helpful to current and future teachers.

This article is useful because it compares and contrasts the use of technology and technology integration. Which I think is so often misunderstood.

This article peaked my interest: Within the next ten years, de Blasio is requiring all of the city's public schools to offer computer science for all students.These courses will only be offered as electives. The main concern for this is finding enough teachers that are properly trained and training others. Computer science jobs are among the fastest growing. They are also the some of the highest paying jobs.  Computer sciences are primarily dominated by white or Asian males. With these courses being available to all students in elementary schools, hopefully the number of minorities and girls who will be interested will increase.

I found that this article may be helpful to this class because it explains how a school in London is not allowing any sort of technology in the classrooms of their students until they are twelve years old. The article uses hyperlinks to back up the claims of the school that implementing technology in the classroom has not shown any positive correlation towards a students ability to learn. This article is showing how a school is actually doing everything the opposite of what our class, INTC 2610, is learning how to do and it is interesting to see a view that does not believe technology integration is an integral part of learning. 

This article calls into question finding a balance between technology and educators in a classroom. It describes a need to find a way for technology to enhance teachers, not replace them. This relates to our class because as we are learning to use new technologies, we must also learn how to effectively incorporate them into a classroom in a way that augments what we are teaching to students.

Learn It In 5 is a relatively new site that features short how-to videos for teachers. The videos are intended to help teachers quickly learn how to use some of the the web tools are essential to being a successful user of classroom technology. The videos cover tools like Skype, Diigo, VoiceThread, and more.

This article highlights the importance a personal learning network can have on the success of a teacher. Like Mrs.Wendt this article stresses a PLN as a vital tool to help learn from others and become a better teacher to your students, which we all are striving to be in the future. The article gives 5 reasons why educators should network. They are, learn with others, serve your students, access a dynamic resource, extend your learning base and to stay engaged in education.

This is a very great article, I think that networking with other teachers is how you truly become a great teacher. If teachers did not network and talk to each other they would only know what they were taught in college and not have any hands on experience from other teachers who may have been there for a long time. I also believe in staying in touch with others through social media, it is a great resource.

This article can be helpful to us by using the integration recommended in the article. The article talks about many lessons teachers have done using technology integration and the experience they had with that lesson. It also gives a list of thing to try out.

It emphasizes the importance of making the teacher comfortable and knowledgeable so they can teach their students. It also provides ways in which teachers can avoid failure and be successful like access to tech support, training, and personal usage.This presentation reported that Including teachers in the decision process makes them feel vital which is another way of making a successful change and they will be accepting to student assistance. Familiarizing yourself with a computer eases the stress of unfamiliar territory because you face trial and error on your own. Collaborating with other educators will alleviate stress and gain knowledge so the teacher can pass this knowledge on to students. In a nut shell integrating technology starts with the teacher.

This is a wonderful article about the stages of tech incorporation for English teachers. It's often difficult for us to make the connection, but this article makes wonderful suggestions!

This article is helpful to us as future teachers. This teacher states that she was always the student falling asleep during her boring lectures. She loves using polls and encourages using social media also!

I think this article is helpful for me because as a future history teacher, lectures and presentations are going to be inevitable. Therefore, its important to think of the students and how they can be actively involved and engaged and enjoying the lesson!

This article acknowledged that with the heavy curriculum of high school classrooms preparing for AP test, Standardized testing and SAT/ ACT testing, it is hard to find the time to add unnecessary technology resources. However, it then lists great ideas to use it everyday. This article is very useful for prospective high schools teachers who want to integrate technology more than power points and research. The best point made was that the more preservice teachers are trained in technology the more they tend to use it in the classroom!

I like this article a lot because it has to do with integrating technology in high-school. Most articles are directed at elementary school teachers and how to make it fun for the kids. Well adding a game or an activity that is fun for a ten year old is not going to please a sixteen year old. Most examples of integrating technology are examples of elementary school activities too. So this article is a nice refreshing take on how to integrating technology in high-school.
