Abstract The problem of integrating technology into teaching and learning process has become a perennial one. Common excuses for the limited use of technology to support instruction include shortage of computers, lack of computer skill and computer intimidation.

This article was good in addressing issues in teachers limiting themselves to only integrating technology they were comfortable with, and the vast area of issues concerning teachers not expanding their learning to expand the learning of their students.

Learn It In 5 is a relatively new site that features short how-to videos for teachers. The videos are intended to help teachers quickly learn how to use some of the the web tools are essential to being a successful user of classroom technology. The videos cover tools like Skype, Diigo, VoiceThread, and more.

Technology can be integrated into language courses to help students with their listening and comprehension skills.Teachers can use Audio and VideoPrograms to have students differentiate between accents and slow down speech if it is not their native language to help break it down. Especially noteworthy is that technology facilitates communication in these areas, which have resulted in higher grade point averages, increased participation, and improved social skills.

This article really stood out to me because I found it so interesting and amazing how much our society is advancing. Basically, O'Brien has this great idea to take Google Exploration to a whole new level. She has interns that are getting some experience with her job, but she says that they are choosing their jobs with fear. They are taking the safe route because people just do not know exactly what is out there. No one can know the experiences others have with their jobs on a daily basis. This is why O'Brien wants to take Google Exploration to a new level. If you watch the video in the article, it shows exactly what Google Exploration is. It is a new technology that allows students to "travel" anywhere and see what they are actually learning. Better than a picture, better than a computer screen, the students hold up cardboard lenses with an iPhone on the other side, which is a virtual exploration. O'Brien was fascinated by this creation, and wants to capture individuals lives on the screen. She wants students to experience the jobs they are interested in, and see what each one entails. I think this is a brilliant idea for education and it shows the true advancement that we have with technology. This will help individuals all around discover what they want to be in life.

Project ReimaginED is based of of Sarah Winchester's idea for her eighth grade students workshop which allowed students to comment and grade each others works anonymously. This was a great idea and could be a tremendous help to anyone need a technological helper in their creative writing class or if the class is new and not comfortable with each other yet. Project ReImaginED is a contest for teachers to show off their ways of infusing technology into their classrooms in order to win. Winchester's idea allowed the students to express their ideas without having to share their identity so some may be more inclined to say more than the usual, "It was nice. I liked it." When they have to workshop their peers. Project ReimaginED "allows teachers to see what their peers have already or plan to implement in their classrooms and encourages teachers to try technologies in ways they have never imagined." It does not say what the prize is for winning.

Holographic technology is an interesting prospect that can be integrated into the classroom to teach in a more hands on way - perfect for learners who need to have a visualization to genuinely understand.

Her tip is to use an assignment that her students can use to complete as a grade as well as understanding and focusing on analytical thinking, decoding a document, and being able to explain a math problem.

A brand new article, Technology changing the culture of the classroom is about as up to date on the benefits of technology as you can be. In the Southwest Allen County school district, they take technology very seriously. They have a 1:1 ratio of student to ipad. They also use assigned technology for 1:1 learning and allows students to work at their own, as well as letting them to use their own imaginations and minds to work through critical thinking.They digitize the entire process so that work can be done at school and at home. Digital literacy is becoming just as important a skill to learn as regular academia literacy.

I found this article to be extremely helpful and sort of fun! Its a summer reading list for teachers to help us learn and understand technology and how we can integrate it into our classrooms. Who said teachers could not have summer reading lists as well?

I enjoyed this article because it brought the topic of computer science within the school classroom to light. Computer science is a field sky rocketing in terms of opportunities. There are always jobs available for these types of professions and the industry keeps growing because of the high demand for technological advancement. The idea of training our students so that they are somewhat comfortable with the common computer applications also exposes them to a new world because many students specifically women have little to no interest in such an important and growing field because they've never experience it.

This relates to our class because its connecting students with technology while saving them money As we all know, Graphing Calculators were also around the same price as a college textbook. But in this innovative age of technology that we are living in, why are we still paying well over $100 for the same piece of equipment? Desmos is a free Google extension that can replace the graphing calculator all together. It preforms all of the same functions while giving a way better look to your graphs. Your curved graphs will actually look curvy!

This article is helpful to us as future teachers. This teacher states that she was always the student falling asleep during her boring lectures. Now that she teaches she has thought of fun and exciting ways to integrate technology into her classroom presentations to keep students engaged! She loves using polls and encourages using social media also!

I think this article is helpful for me because as a future history teacher, lectures and presentations are going to be inevitable. Therefore, its important to think of the students and how they can be actively involved and engaged and enjoying the lesson!
