I thought that this was an interesting article when it came to evaluating teachers and the difference between teacher who use gaming in the classroom and those who don't I think however it would have been more interesting to hear more about the experiences of the "Barrier Busters" and the "Naturals" . I definitely appreciated the point that was made about how for Naturals gaming is not considered as some innovation and instead as a teaching tool. What would be the significance of having the number of years the teacher has been teaching?

Sir Ken Robinson is one of my favorite educational speakers. His Ted Talks are all amazing. I like this resource just for its usefulness in making people think. It would make a great tool for teachers to take to administrators who are reluctant to move towards a new teaching style or technology implementation. I am lucky enough to work with an administration that already thinks this way, but I know that there are some districts that do not see a need for a change in our education system. I also think that every parent and student also need to see this video. It is important to understand why your teachers are trying new things and teaching new skills. It helps when everyone is on board. Thanks for sharing this source!

Great find for all teachers. I think many teachers, including college professors are falling behind in this. I think the higher ed people need to replace their training manuals with this.

This is a good resource for teachers to take to administration to justify teaching the arts. I believe that the arts play an irreplaceable role in the development of young minds, and it makes me sad that some districts are cutting funding, marginalizing, or getting rid of the arts entirely. While I do not teach the arts, I want my own children to grow up surrounded by the arts. They foster creativity and inspire innovation, which is what I want future generations to excel at doing. This resource is great for beginning teachers and teachers who have not worked with students with different abilities before. I like how it also notes the gifted populations as well as those students with a disability. This resource could be used by both teachers and students. Teachers could use it to learn a brief amount more about students with special needs, while as students can use it to understand what other options/strategies might work best for them if they fall into one of the categories listed. There are many other resources that provide strategies/information about how to work with special populations. One I like to check out as a special ed teacher is ldonline.com.

This is a great article and gives me a great definition to wrap my head around. One item I feel is really applicable to learning in no matter the date is "...students master content while producing, synthesizing, and evaluating information from a wide variety of subjects and sources with an understanding of and respect for diverse cultures." I think this website is a great start when it comes to thinking about teaching 21st century skills. Before you can understand something, you must understand the definition of it. I think it is important to note that 21st century learning is not the same as teaching/learning with technology. This website would be especially useful for teachers, because they need to understand 21st century learning before they can teach it. Great article, thanks for sharing!
