    This is an awesome tool that teachers and students can use to share their knowledge with others. I have already used this to help my godson with some of his music theory, because the slide shares are searchable, so you can share with others, and view other people's contributions. I will use this in my English classroom to establish historical/literary contexts for literature before my students start reading.

    Screen-cast-o-mastic is a free screen recording, screen capture software. It can be accessed through the web on any computer, anywhere, and you can record up to 15 minutes worth of actions and narration. Great for responding to student questions where a visual walk through can be more benificail than a long email.

    I will definitively use this in my future classroom.I have used Jing in the past successfully but this tool has 10 more minutes of free recording than Jing does. This tool can be used both by teachers and students. Students can use this tool to create projects or for presentations.     This is a graphic organizer similar to inspiration. It allows to outline content showing relationships between topics. Easy way to go over the main ideas and expand on them while not just presenting a lot of text.

    I really like that you posted this, because I have been looking for an alternative to Inspiration for a long time! It is even better that it is online and can be used from anywhere. I think that both teachers and students could use this resource: teachers for outlining concepts when delivering lessons to students, and students when studying or creating presentations to use with the class. It would be extremely useful in an English classroom, so you could outline the themes of a piece of literature, without getting too "wordy." I haven't found anything else like this online, so I will have to keep looking. Great post!

    I really like this post. I was actually was just looking at this before I saw this post. I think that this site would be able to be used very effectively in the classroom. Students could start their mind map at school and also be able to access it from home on the internet. I believe that this resource can be used by both students and teachers. Everyone brainstorms and this site allows for you to save what you have been working on in your profile. Another mind mapping resource that I have found is called spicynodes. It is the same concept with a different interface.

    This is Ann S. Michaelson's blog, Teaching English using web 2.0. In Ann's blog, she talks about incorporating Web 2.0 tools and applications with students in her International English class. There are great posts about how to use different applications, such as blogs and WebNote, as well as ideas for 1:1 classroom activities. As a future English teacher, I am always interested in learning new ways to use Web 2.0 in my classroom. In addition to presenting different tools, Ann also considers how to teach English as a second language.

    I really like this blog. I really like her ideas about incorporating web 2.0 into an ESL classroom. Whether it be ESL or just a traditional English classroom, I think that using web 2.0 is a promising way to engage students in learning English.

    I like the web 2.0 tools Michaelson introduced in her blog such as Webnotes, Timeline and he vocabulary builder VocabAhead. The webnotes is kind like a combination of google document, google reader and diigo.I think it's convenient for both teachers and students to get useful resources, organize and share them. Although the free version limit the functions, it is still worth trying. The timeline tools is a good one can be used in history course. Using timeline to display flow chart in powerpoint is also a good choice. I like VocabAhead best. It explains words by using image, voice and example sentence. Thus, it makes students much easier to understand a new word and know how to apply in real situation. I think it's a good tool can be used in English class. Thanks for sharing the blog to us.

    This is a very useful tool, and it is free for educational purposes. I don't know how needed it is, however, because most of the features can already be found on-line for free. I feel that Google would be a better option for schools, because it is more widely used and student would be able to make use it after graduation.

I would also have my students use various tools listed, such as survey makers, presentation tools and word cloud generators as a classroom tool.

    This looks like a great resource for elementary teachers, providing so many links in one place. It is like an annotated bibliography, presenting various resources for teachers to use, making it easy for us to navigate. Though I plan to teach in secondary education, some of these categories could still be used with high schoolers in my English classroom, especially Google and the Research & Reference resources. I think that teachers in elementary education will find this resource very useful, and I could even show it so some of my high school students so that they would have different things to explore if they were interested. I found a similar website that compiles resources from around the web, focusing on Language Arts education: http://www.internet4classrooms.com/lang_mid.htm. Here, there are citation guides, research help, online literature links, and many other great activities for the LA classroom.

    This looks like a great resource to keep on hand for teachers! I feel like it should be used mostly by teachers and they should definitely take advantage of it. Too often do teachers use the same routine every day and use stuff out of books! Why not go on the computer and research things that can spice up your classroom.

    This is a great resource for teachers to use in their classrooms to enhance learning. It has a WIDE variety of useful tools that can make learning more fun and engaging. I would recommend that the teacher scans through these options prior to opening them up to students. The teacher could select a few good ones and show them to the students to use during class or at home. I do no have any bookmarks similar to this one, but I am sure there are a lot out there that could be just as helpful. Thanks for sharing the great resource!

    TED talks are insightful and really well presented. They often give unique and interesting perspectives on a range of subjects. I could see myself as a secondary social studies teacher using them to help student understand the idea of looking at issues from a variety of perspectives. They would be good for content knowledge, especially for psychology, economics, or sociology.

    I think that teachers can get a lot of ideas from this site. It not only has "how to" videos for using technology, but it also has lots of ides fro individual subjects. It is constantly updated with new and useful websites. The best part is that all the resources are free, and most of them have been already used in a classroom.

    This is the first time I have seen this blog. This blog is a great way for teacher's to save time when trying to implement technology into their lessons. For a website that is free of charge, it updates often and has a lot of fun and useful videos. I would say this website could not only be used by teachers, but also for students to use with supervision.

    I think resource has great potential for use in a classroom. I would probably use it myself, as a teacher, to learn how to record my English class discussions, or to do posts on different authors or other topics and send them out to my students. It could also be a great tool to use for students, helping them consider taking a different angle on the typical project or presentation. Apple gives another great how-to on creating and using podcasts here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html. We should consider multiple forms of expression, not just text, when using digital technology with students; listening can be so useful!

    Podcasts are great ways to record classroom lectures in college. I would think it would be useful for staff and students. However, I have never listened to a podcast myself, so I don't know how well they meet the needs of a student. I'm also wondering if because of more availability of video recordings of classrooms that podcasts are diminishing.
