Audioboo - 1 views

  •
Audio Boo is a web 2.0 tool that allows you to record, attach pictures and location, then post to the web. This would be a good tool for group projects, partners could record ideas and thoughts where ever they are and then post for their entire group or instructor to listen.
  •
Free audio recording tool you can use from the computer or your mobile phone.
  •
This sounds very interesting. My first time hearing of this. I think this would be a good tool to use. I just have to learn more about it.

My Fake Wall - MyFakeWall.com - 1 views

  •
This website could be a great resource for students and teachers in science, math, history, language arts, etc. This site will allow students to create a fake page about a famous individual. This combines things students enjoy (Facebook) and school material. If you can create an appropriate and interactive project, it can be very enjoyable for students.
  •
This looks like a great site Katie! I can definitely see myself using this in the future. I will be an ESL teacher, so it will be a good way to practice simple English phrases, as well as learning content. Thanks for sharing!

I liked this blog post and it could work on so many levels. A class could create a book or project and post it on iTunes. For personal use this would be beneficial as teachers could upload course booklets on iTunes for students.
  •
I liked this bookmark because I have no experience working with InDesign and Terry White explains the content to address a broad audience; even I could follow along and understand! I actually created a 30+ page review last spring using Photoshop... if I could only get some of that time back...

There is no getting back any time that the Photoshop black-hole has taken from the unknowing slaves to it's awesomeness. : ) Sorry I couldn't resist, as a Photoshop instructor and connoisseur I have lost many a lifetime to Photoshop and it's mysterious ways.

This website is a great resource for teachers to use to improve their classroom and teaching. It includes lesson plans, activities, thematic units, bulletin board ideas, printable worksheets, collaboration projects, books, and other resources as well. I would use this to help improve my teaching. I would also have my students look at the bulletin board ideas and help me put together bulletin boards.

This wiki is a resource for teachers to use to improve the education of their students. This wiki focuses on Math. I could use this wiki for personal reasons, I am a math minor and love to read up on various techniques used to teach math to elementary students. Also, students can use this wiki as a resource and medium for projects as well.

This looks like a great resource for anyone in education, teaching or learning. It is well organized and provides links to a lot of useful free tools. I wish I had this stuff when I was growing up.

This looks like a great resource for elementary teachers, providing so many links in one place. It is like an annotated bibliography, presenting various resources for teachers to use, making it easy for us to navigate. Though I plan to teach in secondary education, some of these categories could still be used with high schoolers in my English classroom, especially Google and the Research & Reference resources. I think that teachers in elementary education will find this resource very useful, and I could even show it so some of my high school students so that they would have different things to explore if they were interested. I found a similar website that compiles resources from around the web, focusing on Language Arts education: http://www.internet4classrooms.com/lang_mid.htm. Here, there are citation guides, research help, online literature links, and many other great activities for the LA classroom.
  •
This looks like a great resource to keep on hand for teachers! I feel like it should be used mostly by teachers and they should definitely take advantage of it. Too often do teachers use the same routine every day and use stuff out of books! Why not go on the computer and research things that can spice up your classroom.
  •
This is a great resource for teachers to use in their classrooms to enhance learning. It has a WIDE variety of useful tools that can make learning more fun and engaging. I would recommend that the teacher scans through these options prior to opening them up to students. The teacher could select a few good ones and show them to the students to use during class or at home. I do no have any bookmarks similar to this one, but I am sure there are a lot out there that could be just as helpful. Thanks for sharing the great resource!

Smithsonian Education - Welcome - 0 views

  •
This website is organized into three parts: educators, families, and students. The Educator part gives teachers many great teaching materials, online resources, lesson plans, field trip ideas and professional development resources. The Families part gives tipes and suggestions for families planning on visiting the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. The Students part gives students links to discover the museum as well as various links and resources to explore different subjects from school. The resources include websites, games, and activities.

I liked how you could search for topics by state standards and grade level besides subject. This would be a good resources for both kids and teachers. The separate kids section is also a good exploratory site in that they can discover things on their own.

Thanks for sharing this wiki Hailey. I really enjoyed the information and links about 21st century learning that were available. The site is easy to use and provides information that is both relevant and meaningful to instructional technology. With so much out there it's nice to find both attributes.
  •
I agree that is Wiki is a great resource that can be used efficiently in my own future classroom. The Wiki contains a lot of great information for teachers to use in their classrooms to "move forward" and incorporate technology and 21st century skills into their classrooms. The site has easy to navigate categories and gives meaningful, relevant, and constructive uses for 21st century (student) skills.
  •
There are a lot of great links and information in this resource. The Wiki is beneficial for classrooms who want to learn about how to integrate some of these activities into their daily schedule. For example, the Wiki provides resources for Wikis, Podcasts, gaming, digital storytelling, and much more.

Early ACCESS Iowa - 0 views

  •
This is Iowa's early intervention.  This is for children that are birth to age three.  This is early access' links and resources pages.  Having this page is help because these resources are researched before they are put onto this page.
  •
This would be a great resource in my future classroom because it is has well researched, reliable links to provide information on early intervention resources. Many times teachers do not have the knowledge of ability to provide an individual child with what they need. So this site can direct teachers to organizations and resources that can help that child. This site would only be used by teachers, health care providers, social service agencies, and parents. It is not designed for students learning activities or a resource for coursework. I am not aware of any other resources like this that focus on birth through age three.

A wiki about 21st Century technoogies. It as a good amount of information.
  •
I like this wiki. It had the information need without adding extra information that can sometimes happen in wikis. The fact that the site is protected so that random people can just add information to the site. Also this wiki is up to date. It gives a lot on link to outside resources. I can see myself using this resource in the future.
  •
I really like this wiki. It almost seems more like a blog, with stories on education instead of articles. I really like that it has a sign-in system to prevent from random and unwanted changes! This will be a resource I return to.
