Today, The S&P BSE Sensex unlocked on a flat note in morning trade, led by gains in HDFC, ITC, HDFC, Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel. The Nifty50 unlocked flat, but was still trading above its critical support level of 7,900, supported by gains in power, metal, realt, and capital goods stocks.

Nifty closed on a bull note at 5939. So today the first resistance for nifty is at 6040 level. Next resistance ranges are at 6090 levels. On downside first support is at 5890 level. Asian markets were cautious in morning trade on Monday. Chinese manufacturing data showed a continued slowdown in factory activity, China's official Purchasing Managers' Index for June came in at 50.1, slightly better than the of 50, but still a decline from May's reading of 50.8. Brent crude was trading below USD 102 levels after slipping on Friday. From precious metals space, gold price stood around USD 1230 an ounce. Gold futures stay flat in the Asia electronic session today with the dollar trading near a four-month low against the euro before the Federal Open Market Committee wraps up a two-day meeting today.

Natural gas fell 0.5 percent and traded around Rs 200. Crude oil is trading at Rs 3575 moved up 1 percent. Gold is flat and is traded at Rs 26600. Silver moved up 0.5 percent and trading at Rs 36300. Except copper all metals have good gains. Copper is flat and trading around Rs 407.

Gold is down by 0.25 per cent and trading at Rs 26170. Silver Weakened by 0.15 percent and is trading below the 36345. Crude oil trading with a gain of 0.75 per cent at Rs 3060. Natural gas weakened by 0.45 per cent and trading below Rs 170. Aluminium is flat and trading around Rs 112. Copper is flat and trading around Rs 370. Lead rose 0.20 percent and trading at Rs 110.

Gold is flat and is trading at Rs 26870. Silver gains 0.3 percent growth at Rs 37700. Crude oil slipped 0.75 per cent to Rs 3150. Natural gas fell 1 per cent to Rs 170. Copper trades with a weakness of 0.1 per cent at Rs 351.4 . Aluminium is flat. Lead and zinc have a weakness of 0.1 to 0.1 per cent. Nickel rose 0.2 per cent to Rs 920.

Wednesday has seen a flat trend in Asian gold markets ahead of ADP employment data due to be released this evening.

Brokers said participants adopted a cautious approach and trimmed their positions ahead of wholesale inflation data for September, to be released later in the day and Q2 earnings by Reliance Industries, which has significant influence over 30-share Sensex. Reliance Industries has slashed its budget for developing the three main oil- and gas- producing areas in its showcase Andhra offshore field by $3 billion, citing an unexpected fall in reserves, sources told optiontips.in India plans to relax rules for oil and gas exploration licences in time for the next bidding round, in a move to attract global companies. Sensex fell with 10 points and trading at a level of 26,457. Nifty index is trading at 7904, down 8 points.

Midcap and Smallcap stocks were sluggish. * CNX Midcap index was trade flat and closed around 13180. * BSE smallcap index was closed at 11280. * Pharma, banking, auto and technology stocks were under pressure. * Capital goods, realty and FMCG stocks had buying trends. * Sensex finally closed at 27849 with a marginal gain of 20.5 points. * Nifty closed at the level of 8433.6.

Consumer Durables,Metal and FMCG stocks have selling pressure. Pharma, IT and Realty stocks have buying trend. Midcap and smallcap stocks have slight edge. Sensex fell 41 points or 0.15 per cent and is trading at 28,078. Nifty fell 0.2 percent or 17.5 points and is trading at 8421 levels.
