    Hi Sari

This is one of the first post I have read on the site. Yes a late start to the term for me for various reason.

I like what you wrote in your post because I could see you planned thoroughly for the lesson and when unable to use ICT, you referred back to your hand outs etc, and the schools data base. Its sounds like a success to me. I feel this is something for me to do and to keep in mind when I do my pro experience, as technology being what it is you can always have it glitches.

As for students reacting well to ICT, I have seen the same in the class I work within. Oh, I work at the International School of Bergen in Norway in the Early Childhood Department with 3 -5 yr olds. What I have seen is children who have difficulty recognising shapes and colours develop more quickly when I use the IWB with them with the paint app. What I do is set the app to draw say a shape, a circle square etc with the IWB pen in a primary colour and, then place circles and square objects under the IWB. Then with a little guidance when children are drawing I will say the shape and colour which is drawn automatically when the IWB mark hits the board. Children automatically then just pick up the matching shape from the floor and match it to the shape on the IWB. This is quite amazing to see as children learn their shapes and colours much quicker through guidance and its fun for them.
