Now You Can Trim Your Videos With YouTube for Android | Android 4 Schools - 0 views

  •
"Most Android phones and tablets have some kind of video trimming tool already built into the camera. Not everyone is aware of that and some phones don't make the option easy to use. YouTube has recently updated the YouTube for Android app to streamline the process of uploading trimmed videos from your phone. The YouTube for Android app now lets you trim the start and end times of your videos and preview those edits before uploading your video. This is quite similar to YouTube's browser-based video uploader."

Co-meeting -Text Based Realtime Group Discussion- - YouTube - 0 views

  •
co-meeting is a text-based group discussion tool. This live-typing chat tool lets you have a conversation that can also deliver the "atmosphere" which was impossible to share with your participants using traditional chat tools, and also lets you take meeting minutes during a discussion by using the document editor with the real-time concurrent editing ability. Because everything is done through texting, you can have discussions without constraint by time and location and make innovative changes in your meeting style for your teams that suffer from wasteful conferences.

"I've been seeing a lot of people on social media looking for a social media policy and / or an acceptable use policy. So I offered to help spearhead an initiative where some of our amazing readers could help craft these policies from scratch. PicMonkey is Like Instagram on the Web - 0 views

  •
Earlier this morning I was asked for a list of alternatives to Picnik for editing and adding effects to photos. I had this list handy, but I have another good photo editor to add to the list. I learned about PicMonkey from one of Jim Sill's Tweets last week and I finally gave it a try this morning. My initial impression is that it is a lot like Instagram except that it functions on the web instead of as an Android or iOS app.

Free Technology for Teachers: How to Use Google's My Maps in Your Classroom - 0 views

  •
" Multiple layers could be used for showing data differences on a year over year or month over month basis. You could display the same data with different base layers for comparison. Students working collaboratively on a map can be responsible for editing their own layers on the same map. If you're using Google My Maps to have students create literature trips, they can create a different layer for each chapter of a book. Students mapping the history of an event like the U.S. Civil War could create a different layer for each year of the war. Each group members name is automagically appended to the document title."
