Evernote is mainly a note-taking app. It is an amazing tool to write down your thoughts and ideas, organize them by using tags and sync them across various mobile devices. If you are thinking about moving to a 1:1 computing strategy or are considering Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) or Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategies then you need to know what technology your pupils have access to. The Your Own Technology Survey (YOTS) is a free tool to help schools and researchers better understand the digital technology available to their students at home, whether they are willing, able and allowed to bring it to school on a regular basis, and how that technology might be utilized to enhance educational outcomes.
It gets some time to get used to using them, but then it makes work easier and helps students clarify what they need to improve. They are really useful!
Meet Nearpod, an all-in-one solution for the use of mobile devices in education. Easily create interactive multimedia presentations to engage your audience. It works great with iPads and provides continuous feedback and reports
This is an online service that allows you to create interactive lessons with students. You can use it in "student-paced" mode or in "Live session" to have all your students engaging at the same time.
I was able to get a School License and it has been great! The free version works great too. The only limitations are the storage space and the limited file size for each presentation.
There is a Google Slide integration if you would like a more familiar experience. I like to work on Nearpod.com and import slides created in whatever software or App I'm feeling like using that day (Canva.com , Keynote , etc.).
I encourage you to try it out, it is really fun and at least my students really enjoy lessons designed on Nearpod!
