MLS or MIS from an ALA accredited institution, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. ·         Knowledge or strong interest in best practices and innovations in teaching and learning related to information literacy. ·         Knowledge of best practices and innovations in teaching and learning as well as curriculum and instruction.  ·         Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate and consult with faculty and instructional staff across disciplines. ·         Evidence of ability to collaborate with a broad range of individuals including faculty, instructional staff, and professional staff. ·         Demonstrate the ability to work as a contributing member or leader of a strategic team.  ·         Demonstrate an appreciation for diversity and inclusive excellence as well as a commitment to a high level of professionalism. ·         Must be able to adapt to changing situations and demonstrate flexibility in various situations.  ·         Demonstrate the ability to foster a supportive work climate in interactions with team members as well as faculty and instructional staff.

Additional Required Qualifications: Experience supervising and/or leading librarians and career staff Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, project management, and communication skills Experience providing reference and instructional services related to the arts and humanities in an academic or research library environment Experience participating in collection development and effectively managing collection funds in an academic or research library Demonstrated commitment to providing highly responsive public service Ability to foster and maintain partnerships with a broad-based constituency Ability to work effectively with diverse staff and campus user communities Capacity to thrive in an environment of change and respond effectively to shifting needs and priorities
