Demonstrably advanced skills in some combination of website management, text mark-up, graphics editing and database creation. Preferred: Candidate will possess, most importantly, a deep understanding of the research process and knowledge of the ways that new technologies are affecting the production of scholarship in the humanities, as distinct from other fields.  Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an exceptionally strong background in humanities, curiosity about how technology is affecting research, and enthusiasm for collaboration in an exciting and dynamic intellectual environment. Ideally the applicant will additionally have demonstrated knowledge in both front- and back-end technologies such as Web design and site management (including XHTML, CSS, graphics editing software), humanities technologies and standards (such as XML, EAD, and TEI), relational databases design and development, and server-side web-development (e.g., PERL, PHP, java, javascript, ASP or .Net).

MLS or MIS from an ALA accredited institution, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. ·         Knowledge or strong interest in best practices and innovations in teaching and learning related to information literacy. ·         Knowledge of best practices and innovations in teaching and learning as well as curriculum and instruction.  ·         Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate and consult with faculty and instructional staff across disciplines. ·         Evidence of ability to collaborate with a broad range of individuals including faculty, instructional staff, and professional staff. ·         Demonstrate the ability to work as a contributing member or leader of a strategic team.  ·         Demonstrate an appreciation for diversity and inclusive excellence as well as a commitment to a high level of professionalism. ·         Must be able to adapt to changing situations and demonstrate flexibility in various situations.  ·         Demonstrate the ability to foster a supportive work climate in interactions with team members as well as faculty and instructional staff.

Applicant must be fluent the Drupal content management system, or able to quickly learn Drupal if expertise lies elsewhere. Familiarity with other website platforms, specifically Wordpress, is strongly desired. Fair knowledge of HTML appreciated, though not required. Ability to interpret and report basic analytics using tools such as Google Analytics. Exceptional written and spoken communications skills required. Copywriting and editing experience highly valued. Experience writing for the web required. Content strategy development experience highly valued. Relevant experience with social media platforms, including basic analytics and strategy for Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube (other platforms may be included) required. Knowledge of best social media practices, live event integration, and audience engagement valued though not required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically for the purpose of image editing and batch processing (via Bridge), is beneficial though not required. Experience with some photo and video editing preferred (however, training can be provided if candidate does not possess those skills.) Ability to handle confidential information with discretion required. Strong organizational, planning, problem solving and project management skills required. Ability to take initiative, work independently and contribute as a member of a team. Ability to manage conflict with grace and tact and to propose creative, win-win solutions required.

Skills:Experience processing literary manuscripts and archival collections. Experience processing and cataloging visual materials, especially photographs.
