HRPayrollSystems.net Adds HRIS With Global Capabilities to Its List of Partner Vendors - 0 views

  •
HRPayrollSystems.net is a free website that allows hoteliers to search for Payroll Systems for the Human Resources Department of the hotel. The website offers a Search Wizard that will help the owner of a hotel, or Human Resources Manager, to find the perfect Payroll System that matches all their needs. This article talks about how HRPayrollSystems.net have just started to open up their Search Wizard to find Payroll Systems globally, instead of just domestically here in the United States. Before the insurgence of these new global HRIS's members of this website were limited to the Payroll Systems that were only offered here in the United States, due to complaints from several users of this website, the creator decided to step in and make the necessary changes to keep everyone satisfied. Now with this new implementation by HRPayrollSystems.net, hoteliers and Human Resource Managers can search for the best HRIS that fits the needs of their particular hotel, from anywhere in across the globe. David Reitsima, founder of HRPayrollSystems.net says that, "the key to a successful business is listening to your customers", and he did just that. He is a veteran in the Human Resource Department and has also stated how troublesome it can be finding the right Payroll System for the hotel and that is why he added these global HR software systems; to just add onto the list of growing partners to give his customers the biggest selection possible.

The E-TAC is energy efficient, has a dry mode, maximum set point limits that can be preprogrammed. they are remote controlled, they have a sleep timer to save energy, and lastly, it has been implemented with silencing fan technology which is perfect for hotel guestrooms. This article describes how an undercover TSA agent was able to sneak a fake bomb through not one, but two different checkpoints at the Newark Airport. It happened on February 25th and sources have said that the undercover agent was concealing a mock IED bomb in his pants. TSA has done several tests like this in the past and will still continue to do so in the future while providing immediate feedback to the officers regardless of how they fared in the testing process. This just goes to show how easy some people can underestimate the safety of others. TSA has not provided any elaborate details on the matter but said they will continue to work to provide the most safety possible for airline passengers.

IT Investment-Calculating the value of an IT investment - 1 views

  •
This article explains how important it is to analyze and interpret new forms of IT technology to make the best purchase or investment. The articles starts by describing terms used in IT Investment. The first term is Capital Expenditure, which is any expenditure not for the usual maintenance and upkeep of the hotel or restaurant. For example, a Capital Expenditure would be obtaining a new PMS or renovating your banquet facility. The next term is Depreciation, which everyone should know is the amount of money lost on an investment of the course of its life. The third and fourth terms are Cash Flow and Discount Rate. Cash Flow is "the movement of cash in and out of the business", and Discount Rate is "analysis based on the dollar being worth more today than in 5 years". The second part of the article talks about investment techniques used. Many methods are used to help make sound investment decisions like NPV. NPV is Net Present Value, which is an assessment of long-term profitability of the investment made by adding together all the revenue over its life and deducting the costs involved. Another technique used to evaluate an IT investment is the Payback Period. This helps to evaluate how long it will take to make back your initial investment in the IT. The article goes into grave detail on both of these methods and believe this article can be very helpful for hotel/restaurant managers and owners when determining which investment should be made.

4 Ways E-Commerce Can Drive Customers to Green Initatives - 1 views

  • Adam Herrmann

This artilce explains methods to make guests become more eco-friendly. Its basically talks about if hotels are going green offline, why not go green online? The first method the article talks about is having a direct link on the homepage of your website directs guests to your green products, services, and initiatives. By doing so these guests will not have difficulty finding these services or products and be directly linked to that page in your hotel's website. The second method the article talks about is highlighting products and categories with green options. Hotels should test out highlighting hotels with green initaitves and use conversions and bookings to determine which guests are green and what they would be looking for the most in your hotel. The next method is be thorough when explaining your green products or services. Keeping your guests updated with detailed information on your green products will not only establish trust, but will also encourage guests who are not green to convert. The last method is to get personal with your guests when talking about going green. Hoteliers should know their green guests and be personal and recognize them upon check-in. They are also immediately aware of your green products and services and like I stated earlier it will establish trust. The article also talks about behavioral targeting when identifying green guests. They use this method to really get personal with the eco-friendly guests.
