    https://www.mccourier.com/beacon-technology-market-is-expected-to-grow-at-a-cagr-of-47-6-from-2020-2026/

The Global Technology market size is projected to be USD 19.32 billion by 2026 because of the huge market jump. Most of this is due the smartphone usage from around the world and the reliance on location services. Other features that has stunted the growth are bluetooth smart technology, loop technology, and over-the-air (OTA) technology based on AI. This increase in demand is being seen in the retail, hospitality, transportation and logistics, and entertainment industries.

Proximity marketing is allowing for personalized ads for specific people based on their travel and shopping habits. It makes it easier for the business to market for people and easier for the consumer to shop. But to do this, applications on mobile devices will need to have their location services on and companies will be gathering data on you to provide these products.

This causes data concerns because of how much the beacon technology is collecting data. They will know everything about you and that is a concern for many customers.

An new app called Landed is helping hospitality and retail workers from landing new jobs in the industry. It is an app that gives applicants a head start on getting job offers by videos on how to stand out in an interview while also connecting application users with job posting.

Landed works by having employeers post available jobs with the details including hour, job description and hours available. Potential employees then upload their resume and the AI technology of Landed then matches the the employer and candidate to make the perfect match. The AI system also analyses all of the body movements, communication skills, work longevity, etc and then sees what job would best suite the candidate.

While another program called Sprouts Farmers Market is helping new employees with their onboarding. Since, the pandemic has made it hard for new employees to meet their new employers, this app takes care of all of the onboarding paperwork by giving an immersive experience with training videos using VR technology.

    https://www.hotelogix.com/blog/2020/01/13/advantages-of-cloud-computing-for-hotel-industry/

Cloud Computing has done wonders for many industries across the globe. Ensuring that files and confidential information is being stored and saved without having to put any extra energy into doing so. The Hospitality Industry has been able to flourish with this technology. IaaS, SaaS and Paas are the most commonly used servers by hospitality businesses.

For hotels, it has been able to bring down some extra costs like energy, hardware, and operations. It is also leading to higher productivity and cutting costs. It also succeeds in guest satisfaction. It allows workers to become more interactive with the guests and allows guests to check in and out of the hotel via smartphone or tablet. Cloud computing also allows for easier ways of booking rooms. This technology allows for hotels to put booking links and information on their website directly so they no longer have to pay commission to third-party planners or travel agencies. The use of the Cloud will also allow hotel workers to work remotely. This is essential for managers who may have to go out of town for a business trip or if they are stuck at home. It allows workers to access their hotel's information from anywhere in the world.

    https://tophotel.news/experts-voice-technology-trends-in-travel-the-face-of-hospitality-tech-in-2021/

Technology trends are evolving faster than ever this past year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic it has made the Hospitality Industry evolve faster than ever before to meet safety requirements to ensure workers and customers needs. This has taken a big hit on the hotel industry; causing them to change their way of service to meet safety guidelines but also create a positive customer experience and uphold brand standards. The Hotel industry has had to move toward contactless communication, self-service, integrated solutions and virtual reality.

Due to the growing concern of COVID-19, contactless has become the new word of 2020 and into 2021. Making it so that the hotel industry has had to increase their way of communication with their guests. This has pushed towards a direct messaging system. Travelers have needed to ask more questions now more than ever before. This will create a system that will cause ease of mind for guests and workers.

With direct contact being a huge liability for safety, hotels have moved to a contactless way of checking in and out along with self service protocols. Where hotel staffing is at a record low, it has been extremely important for hotel brands to communicate with their guests about their individual procedures on their stay in their hotel.

With labor being down, it is important that hotels invest in technology that will synchronize with each other properly and efficiently. This will make sure that there are less issues and the revenue that is coming in is not being lost in the process. These systems are also imperative for guest engagement and surveying to ensure guest satisfaction.

Virtual Reality technology has been around for a long time now, mainly used for video game users. But, hotels have taken advantage of this technology to promote their hotel. Giving almost real life tours of their property. This is important for a hotel's success for the future. Since leisure traveling is almost obsolete, it is important to plan for the future. Travelers are planning their vacations for this year in hopes that it will be safe for traveling. This will help promote hotels so people can make the best decision on where they are spending their money.

My only concern is will this replace workers after the pandemic has slowed and life goes back to normal. Since the hotel industry is a person-to-person industry, I worry that this will replace it and there will be no human contact or clients will not be happy with having to talk to others when traveling. With investing in systems that essentially do the work of the Front desk and even some sales jobs there will be a decrease in demand. We would see this in the use of Virtual Reality technology. There would no longer be a need for the amount of sales managers possible. I have worked the busiest hotel in Minnesota. We had seven sales managers plus a team of six detailers and we were each individually responsible for giving tours of the hotel to make the sale. With the amount of people virtual reality could replace, these jobs would become nonexistent. If companies are willing to invest this amount of money into new technology they will not want to hire people to a job that they paid for upfront.
