This source isn't a primary source site itself, but has links (22 at time of posting) to sites that help students analyse primary documents. Might be useful.

1950s game show appearance of witness to Lincoln Assassination.  Not many people would believe that one person can connect the mid 19th century and the age of television. This can also show students that there are different qualities to primary sources - some primary sources are more valuable than others. This is a primary source because he was a witness, but he is remembering something from 100 years ago. Is he still a primary source?

This is a guide to creating lessons using primary sources provided by the Library of Congress. They've just started a new initiative helping teachers use primary sources in the classroom; I went to the site they're set up but there wasn't much there. Maybe it will grow in time.

Another site to help students use primary sources. Has some good questions to help students develop their eye for historical detail, motive, perspective, etc.

A vast and unorganised collection of secondary and primary source sites on all things Mongol. Amazing that there are so many sources left seeings the Mongols tended to burn any sources they came across. Along with the people who might have written them, come to think of it. Maybe that's why their PR is so bad?

These sites host primary source materials and encourage young people to use them to produce and publish their own creations. Some even include online tools to help students with the process.
