A Two day National Conference on Communication Networks and Sensor Technology-NCCNS'11 was organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering & Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from 18th-19th April 2011 as part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science.

Hindustan University staged their Christmas celebrations with grandeur on 16th December 2011. Hindustan Group of Institutions comprising Hindustan University, Hindustan Institution of Engineering and Technology, KCG College of Technology, Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Orient Flight School, National Institution of Management Studies got together to celebrate the festive season and spread the message of Christmas.

Chennai Engineering Colleges and especially KCG College of Technology has always been a chivalrous institution. This day saw two events. The first one was a greenathon. The basic motive of this event was to spread awareness. A handful of students went all over Rajiv Ghandi salai Encouraging people to use recycled paper bags instead of plastic bags. They went to restaurants and shops like The Shogun, Amaravathi restaurant, Nalas, SAS, Cafe Coffee Day, Dominoes and more. They got a huge and warm response from everyone.

NSS and YRC Units of KCG College of Technology (one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges) , Karapakkam, Chennai Organized Blood Donation Camp in association with Y's Men Club of Mylapore and Lions Club of Golden Bharath on March 04, 2011 in the College Campus. 232 units of Blood were Collected from the Student and Staff of the College.

The objective of this workshop was to initiate the awareness on mobile computing and latest technology implemented in mobile broadband area and also opportunities available for the post graduate students through industrial expert.

The workshop on "Energy Nano Convergence 2012" was organized by the Clean Energy and Nano Convergence (CENCON), Research Centre of Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science (HITS) from 5th -6th January 2012 at Hindustan University, Padur Campus, Chennai.

A Golden opportunity for candidates, students to attend Training Program in Automotive Engineering at Germany. Students are invited to attend a Training Program on Selected Topics in Automotive Engineering (STiAE) from 22nd January to 9th February 2011. It will be conducted at Steinbeis Transfer Center for Automotive Engineering, Esslingen University, Germany. The program is organized by Steinbeis Centre for Technology Transfer, India. International Aviation Day was celebrated on 7th December 2010 by the School of Management Studies, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science.

KCG College of Technology (KC Tech) was established in 1998 and is affiliated to the Anna University and also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Tamil Nadu.

We aimed to serve 200 underprivileged women, children and elderly who don't have access to Basic Medical care. We had services like BMI, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Dermatology, Dental, ENT, Physiotherapy, Electro Cardio Gram / Heart problems, General checkup and Surgical opinion. It was a grand success.

Accenture Career Day (ACD) was organized by the Department of Placement at Hindustan University on 15 July 2011. ACD is a campus initiative of Accenture designed to edify the students about Accenture and calling with it. The final year engineering and MBA students had the opportunity to find out building a career at Accenture, Accenture's Delivery Centers for Technology in India, Accenture Global Careers Program, Training and higher Education Programs. The students also had an opportunity to interact with the alumni working at Accenture.

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) (Best Chennai Engineering Colleges) hosted the Mahindra Auto Quotient 2011 on 24 August 2011 at Hindustan University. The champions of Mahindra Auto Quotient 2010 is all set to clinch the title again in the contest.

As you can see, there are many exciting technologies and challenging issues on the perspective. The development of robotics and automation engineering in the not too distant future will see our lives forever changed.

Educational Day was celebrated by Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) on 11th November 2010, to commemorate the Birthday of Mr. Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, an Eminent Educationist, a Great Leader of India's Freedom Struggle and the First Union Minister of Education of Independent India. The aim of the celebration was to Emphasize the Awareness and Importance of Education to the Younger Generation so as to move the Nation Forward.
