    S.Saravanan M.C.A final year student was selected for internship at NUS Singapore. He was working on the development of a Crawling algorithm for Mining Scholarly Presentations and Documents from the Web. Period of internship was from 1st March 2011 to 12th September 2011. He was working with the Web Information and Natural Language Processing Group (WING) of NUS Singapore. Professor Min Yen Kan of the Department of Computer Science was his guide at NUS Singapore and Professor Anitha S.Pillai was his guide at Hindustan University

    "Energy - Present and Future from Material Science point of View '' a lecture was conducted by Prof. Rajeev Ahuja , Department of Physics and Material Science Condensed Matter Theory, Uppasala University, Sweden on 02 nd August 2011, 11 a.m at HITS. He gave a lecture on Computational Material Science and density functional theory. He discussed on clean form of Energy - Hydrogen Oxygen Fuel cell and Solid form of hydrogen storage methods using Nano tubes. He also explained about Lead acid batteries and Li- ion batteries. He emphasized Hydrogen as a future form of energy source.
