Chennai Engineering Colleges and especially KCG College of Technology has always been a chivalrous institution. This day saw two events. The first one was a greenathon. The basic motive of this event was to spread awareness. A handful of students went all over Rajiv Ghandi salai Encouraging people to use recycled paper bags instead of plastic bags. They went to restaurants and shops like The Shogun, Amaravathi restaurant, Nalas, SAS, Cafe Coffee Day, Dominoes and more. They got a huge and warm response from everyone.

The 10th All India Karate Championship was held at the NESCO, Indoor Auditorium, Department of Atomic Energy Township, Kalpakkam, from 7th - 10th January 2011.

Each School of the University conducts an International Level Seminars and Symposiums every year. It gives an opportunity for our students to interact with other University students and share their views and technical knowledge. Students from all over India participate in Paper Presentation, Quiz, Software Contest, Tech Talk, Mathematical Quiz, Dumb Charades, Crossword, Mathematical Exhibits, Management Quiz, Creative Expression and ADZAP.

The Management, Staff and Students of Hindustan University had the privilege to meet His Excellency, Dr. A. P. J. The best basketball players in India came out to put up an extraordinary display of skill, athletic ability, and hoops intelligence at the Mastan YMCA court in Nagpada, Mumbai on Saturday, April 9 at the Indian All Star Games. The finest Indian men and women players, from all across the country, were invited to play in these exhibition matches that produced plenty of thrills and a few dominating performances.For both the games, the players were divided into two teams each, WEST and EAST.

Now, I will be the first to admit that I don't know right from left when it comes to NCAA basketball in the States. Since barely any games or promotion is done in India, it is only out of curiousity that I know anything at all about it. It is important for me, for instance, to know where the world's best basketball player in the NBA came from, or what kind of challenges and competition they had in their younger years.

Accenture Career Day (ACD) was organized by the Department of Placement at Hindustan University on 15 July 2011. ACD is a campus initiative of Accenture designed to edify the students about Accenture and calling with it. The final year engineering and MBA students had the opportunity to find out building a career at Accenture, Accenture's Delivery Centers for Technology in India, Accenture Global Careers Program, Training and higher Education Programs. The students also had an opportunity to interact with the alumni working at Accenture.
