NSS and YRC Units of KCG College of Technology (one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges) , Karapakkam, Chennai Organized Blood Donation Camp in association with Y's Men Club of Mylapore and Lions Club of Golden Bharath on March 04, 2011 in the College Campus. 232 units of Blood were Collected from the Student and Staff of the College.

The 3rd edition of "Innovator 2011" was conducted at Hindustan University (Best Chennai Engineering Colleges) on 25th August 2011. It is a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) college excellence cluster initiative. The students from Hindustan University ,KCG College, Rajalakshmi College and SRM were present for the session.

KCG College of Technology (KC Tech) was established in 1998 and is affiliated to the Anna University and also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Tamil Nadu.

Chennai Engineering Colleges and especially KCG College of Technology has always been a chivalrous institution. This day saw two events. The first one was a greenathon. The basic motive of this event was to spread awareness. A handful of students went all over Rajiv Ghandi salai Encouraging people to use recycled paper bags instead of plastic bags. They went to restaurants and shops like The Shogun, Amaravathi restaurant, Nalas, SAS, Cafe Coffee Day, Dominoes and more. They got a huge and warm response from everyone.

Hindustan University (one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges), won the WCC French Section Culturals Competition, held on 22nd March 2011, at Women's Christian College(WCC), Nungambakkam . A contingent comprising 30 talented participants from Hindustan University represented our institution.

Anna Edusat live interactive program is being conducted at Hindustan University( one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges) campus from 4th July 2011. The programme will be conducted till 4th September 2011.

"National Franchisee Training Programme" was conducted for final year EEE students from 24.02.2011 to 26.02.2011 at Hindustan University (one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges).

On 29th March 2011, Unni Menon's Live Music Concert rocked Hindustan University (one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges) . Unni Menon is a South Indian film playback singer. He has sung over 3000 songs in South Indian languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

A Golden opportunity for candidates, students to attend Training Program in Automotive Engineering at Germany. Students are invited to attend a Training Program on Selected Topics in Automotive Engineering (STiAE) from 22nd January to 9th February 2011. It will be conducted at Steinbeis Transfer Center for Automotive Engineering, Esslingen University, Germany. The program is organized by Steinbeis Centre for Technology Transfer, India. The School of Management Studies, Hindustan University (one of the best Chennai Engineering Colleges) organised a one day National Level Management Meet "POWWOW 2011" on 19th March 2011 at Hindustan University campus. POWWOW 2011 created an extraordinary platform for the Budding Managers from various B-Schools to showcase their managerial skills and an opportunity to challenge the best.

We aimed to serve 200 underprivileged women, children and elderly who don't have access to Basic Medical care. We had services like BMI, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Dermatology, Dental, ENT, Physiotherapy, Electro Cardio Gram / Heart problems, General checkup and Surgical opinion. It was a grand success.

The NSS Unit was started in our college in the year 2004. Since then it has been a vibrant and active unit.National Service Scheme (NSS) of KC Tech has been rendering yeoman service to the society. NSS has been functioning as a regular feature in the realm of our university education.

The Christmas Message that was delivered by the Chief Guest Rt. Rev. Dr. Issac Mar Philoxenos, Diocesan Bishop, Chennai, Bangalore Diocese. In his Christmas Message, he stated that God came down to the Earth in the form of Human Being and the Birth of Christ is celebrated as Christmas Day.
