For those interested in innovation in higher ed, NCIIA is hosting their annual conference in March in DC. Generally the theme is how to teach technology entrepreneurship, but some of the topics this year are a bit more general. Examples: -- Team-based Learning Pedagogy: Transforming classroom dialogue and learning --Learning space design for creativity and innovation --Simplifying / packaging creative engineering education

This is a major online conference with keynotes by Howard Gardner and by me, among many others. Worth examining the program to find talks in which you might be interested.

Digital Media Conference 2011 is happening at Irvine CA! and they've invited proposals for papers

Taking place in June 2011 in Portugal, would be a great place to showcase your research! Tom Daccord and Justin Reich have a great blog on their EdTechTeacher website.  Coming up on March 3-4, they are hosting the EdTechTeacher2012 Winter Conference "Leading Change in Changing Times"  featuring familiar faces:  Chris Dede and Stone Wiske.

MassCUE is hosting it's annual Education Technology conference on October 26-27. Check out the topics on their schedule.  I've arranged a discounted student admission fee ($50/day) and I'm organizing a field trip (for up to 15) students on that Thursday with Yong Zhao as the keynote speaker.  Contact me if interested.

A heads up for any one who is interested in EmTech, the premier conference focused on emerging technologies and their impact.

They also have a session on Emerging Technology in Education--second to last day, I think. edX, One-laptop-per-child, Institute of Play will be represented.

Thanks for posting this info. I seem to be way too tied up with HGSE this year but maybe next year when I'm a teacher I'll find the time. Good to know about.

Check out where our professor will be speaking in Feb. If anyone has the chance and wants to get out of the cold and get in touch with teachers, publishers and hardware vendors, the FETC is a great conference.
