Katie Bronge on 30 Nov 14This article is about race and gender in superhero movies. I thought this quote from the article was really interesting "As somebody recently pointed out, there are currently more big budget superhero films headlined by blond men named Chris than by women and other ethnicities combined. Even when more diverse characters appear they do so in less prominent roles"

jgrahek on 02 Dec 14I thought this was a great article for my research topic. A quote i enjoyed was when the author was talking about women in refrigerators and said, "female characters are killed off just to provide a motive for their male counterparts. In the films they seldom even garner this much attention". This is very true in many super hero movies.

shepherd_sn on 05 Dec 14This was a good article for my topic. My paper deals with diversity in regards to both gender and race and supported some of the points in my research. I also liked the part about X-Men because that was the movie I coded and am using as examples for my paper.
