A great intereactive Maths website for children, particularly learning their timestables. A range of maths skills taught. Children can independently work through the activities in Maths rotations.
This activity takes you step-by-step through the process of working out a fraction of a quantity. For example, to find 4/5 of 35 it will first ask you to enter the answer to 35 divided by 5, then move on to ask you what is 7 times 4. There's a numberline at the bottom to help.
Place value game. Students have a short time limit (depending on the level) to correctly answering the question about which column each number falls into. Children also have to correctly write the numbers up to 6 digits.
This site is filled with loads of challenges which will engage students of all ages. In each game their is a problem to solve, and children are timed on how quickly they can do it. All games are fully interactive and don't take long to load. Just be careful which you pick as some are quick tricky. More suited to upper school.
