Neeraj Pandey, one of India’s finest contemporary filmmakers, today launched his debut novel Ghalib Danger at an event that was attended by the stars of his cinematic ventures.  After entertaining Indians all over the world with memorable and much-loved films like A Wednesday and Special 26, the critically acclaimed director, who is no stranger to thrillers has further explored the genre with his first book.A fictional gangster saga set in the visually eclectic Mumbai underworld, Ghalib Danger makes Neeraj one of the rare Bollywood directors who have also authored novels. Ghalib Danger revolves around the life of its main protagonist Kamran Ali. A young taxi driver by profession, Kamran stays in Mumbai and dreams of making it big someday. However a twist of fate awaited him as on an eventful day his life transforms when he saves the life of a notorious underworld don from called Mirza. As an act of gratitude, Mirza takes Kamran under his tutelage.Speaking of his book, the celebrated film writer-director and now author says, ‘Writing has always been a passion and when the story of Kamran and his world took shape in my mind, I knew that only a book would do full justice to it. It’s a story of destinies that collide and shape the world of our characters’.The launch of Neeraj’s first book was also a special occasion for some of his favourite stars to come and cheer in support. While Anupam Kher, who credits Neeraj’s as giving him two out of his top 10 roles in the form of A Wednesday and Special 26, read out a chapter from the book to a live audience, Naseeruddin Shah penned the leading quote. Manoj Bajpayee not only joined the gathering but also lent his voice to the motion poster of the book as he read out couplets from Ghalib’s work. Divyaa Dutta dropped by to wish Neeraj good luck as well.

She says, “It could be a designer watch or something even more expensive and personal.” The actress smilingly said further, “I will not discuss the gift because I want to surprise him.”They will be spending 10 days together and after that, Saif will be heading on for a short vacation with his school friends, while Kareena will be heading back to home for her endorsement shoots and will also join the promotions of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.We think that this is going to be a grand affair for the couple, we also wish them a very happy first wedding anniversary in advance.

Yesteryears actress Asha Parekh has been blessed to work with the superstars of her reining era, whether it be Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand or Rajesh Khanna. However, she still rues the fact that she didn’t get the opportunity to work with Dilip Kumar, and is still waiting to work with him.While speaking to the sources at an event recently, the Padma Shri winner said, "I really want to work with Yusuf saab (Dilip Kumar). It's still a wish and I am still waiting to work with him." For those unaware, Dilip Kumar calls it quits from acting in 1998, and the last movie the 90-year-old featured in was Qila. Despite that Asha Parekh is still eager to share screen-space with him. "If I get an opportunity, I would just run and do that project. This is one thing I am looking forward to," she said.There were rumours before that Dilip Kumar and Asha Parekh shared some animosity and this is the reason that they never worked together, but the latter quashed the rumours. She said, "There was no animosity. It was a mistake by the journalist who just cooked up the story. I was very angry with him for cooking up stories and spoiling our relationship. I have a very, very good relationship with Yusuf saab and Saira Banu. I was terribly hurt by that report." Well, we hope your dream do come true!

Star-actor Saif Ali Khan is someone who has made his mark in Bollywood without belonging to any camp, and has managed to maintain steady relationship with each and every actor of the industry. Recently he gave the title of his film Yaariyan to T-Series head-honcho Bhushan Kumar.This shows that the actor very well knows the value of good relations. While speaking about the same recently, Divya Khosla Kumar said that it was really kind of Saif to give away his title. "When Bhushan heard the script, he thought Yaariyan would be the apt title for the film but when we checked the title was registered with Saif Ali Khan's company. Bhushan spoke to him and without charging anything, he gave us the title free of cost. That's really generous of him," said Divya.For those unaware, the film, which stars newcomers, will release on January 10. As of now Divya is looking forward to promote the film on TV reality show Bigg Boss Saath-7, which is hosted by superstar Salman Khan. "I know Salman and he is close to Bhushan. I am happy we are going to Bigg Boss to promote the film," she said.The happy actress-turned-director Divya also didn’t forget to credit her hubby Bhushan, without whom she says that the film wouldn’t have been possible. Bhushan is the head of T-Series. "Without him, it was not possible. His support was incredible and the title was also suggested by him," she said.Best wishes for the film!

The British singer-cum-actress Sofia Hayat, who entered as a wild card entrant a few weeks back, is dropped out from Bigg Boss 7 house. Though initially, she entered the caravan section of the house, she soon stepped into the main Bigg Boss house where she mingled with all the contestants. She came out with a lot of spunk and never-say-die attitude in the show.However, post her fight with housemate Armaan Kohli, she was not feeling good in the house. Even at a point of time, she managed to create controversies and demanded to evict Armaan from the house. During a task Armaan supposedly hit the lady with the mop stick and she wanted to move out of the house.Sofia also made good friends in form of Gauhar Khan, Kushal Tandon, Andy and Kamya Punjabi. She joined Gauhar and Kamya’s hands and played the game while adopting the divide and rule tactic. But situations did not work in her favor and she ended up switching sides between Armaan-Tanisha and Gauhar-Kamya. Owing to her double-faced and deceitful nature, she attracted a lot of criticism from the housemates and was often referred to as Kerosene. Over all, she receives mixed feedbacks from her followers. Talking on her experience, Sofia Hayat said, “I had never watched a single season of Bigg Boss and had a very little idea about what I was getting into. But at the end of my journey in the house, I have learned a lot of things and was able to sail through all the testing times. Many consider that the life of an actor is very easy, however, there is no truth to that in actual, as their life is rather full of thrill and drama, which they have to cope with while shooting for their films. Many a times, we have heard about an actor getting injured while shooting for a film.Last it was Hrithik Roshan, who had received a head injury while shooting for his upcoming film Bang Bang. Now latest to fall victim is singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar, who received severe cuts on his left cheek while shooting stunts scenes in Bangkok.  It is learnt that he was shooting for a television commercial for a multinational brand, when he cut his face and was rushed to the hospital. As luck would have it, he didn’t receive any serious injuries, and he made his way to the sets after doctors stitched up his cut. Sources say that earlier Ali’s body double had to perform the stunts, but he didn’t resemble the current long-hair and French beard Ali is sporting. Hence, Ali decided to do it himself, and in turn, he injured his face. Fortunately things are under control now, and we wish the actor speedy recovery!

Seasonal diseases have been tolling high on Bollywood celebrities these days. Post Ranveer Singh and Vir Das diagnosed with dengue, now latest Katrina Kaif has also joined the patienthood. She is down with viral fever and doctors advised her bed rest.As per the sources Katrina Kaif is on very heavy antibiotics and is currently avoiding the camera due to the adverse reaction of the medicines on her face. “She has not been keeping well and was advised complete rest. She was down with viral fever and the strong dose of medicines had an adverse reaction it led to swelling on her face,” said sources.Apart from shooting of her upcoming films titled Bang Bang and Dhoom 3, the shooting dates of her endorsements have been affected due to her illness. “As Bang Bang and Kabir Khan’s film shoot has been pushed ahead, she had time on hand to complete some of her brand assignments before November. But now she has decided to finish dubbing for Dhoom 3 instead,” added sources close to the actress.Does it mean the actress has also missed her secret vacations with her alleged beau Ranbir Kapoor in New York? Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, who had undergone a brain surgery for the removal of a clot in July this year, heads to an unrevealed location abroad for his medical treatment. He is reportedly been suffering bouts of headache and will undergo through the medical check-up to his surgery. Earlier, his brain operation was held at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.     His director father Rakesh Roshan also confirmed his travel plan. He said on Friday, “Hrithik is leaving on Saturday. He will be going with a friend.” When asked if Hrithik would be accompanied by his parents, Rakesh Roshan said, “We'll join him if there is a need for us to do so.” Does it mean the films, Hrithik was working on has been put on hold until he will not be done with the treatment? Sources said Hrithik's next project Shuddhi, produced by Karan Johar and directed by Karan Malhotra, has been postponed to July 2014.Sources said, “Shuddhi is a story of reincarnation. Films about rebirth are always tricky to pull off. The script of Shuddhi needs more work. Hrithik's health is not the issue here, the script needs to be polished.” Hrithik Roshan has been roped in opposite Kareena Kapoor in Shuddhi.Hrithik was last seen in Rakesh Roshan’s directorial Krrish 3 that minted huge money at box-office. B-town beauty Lara Dutta, who is currently away from Bollywood, so that she could focus on raising her child, is set to put forth her designing skills as she will soon launch her own sari collection. She says that designing is her new baby."I have done films for 10 years. This is something new that I have forayed into; so it's my new baby. I am excited about the response from the customers," said Lara, who was in Delhi to launch her second sari range in association with Chhabra 555. Married to tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, Dutta, 35, started designing last year, and it was then she created a whole line of saris. "The second collection is far more traditional. Personally I am a big fan of Benarasi saris and many other old-age fabrics; so I wanted to make those weaves younger and contemporary. Normally, we associate Benarasi saris with our aunts and our mothers, but I wanted to give it a younger and trendy feel," she said. Even though she is seen less on silver screen nowadays, Lara has no qualms. "I think each thing has its own space in life. I enjoyed being busy. My priority is my daughter. That will always be my number one priority. Now she is getting older, so I am getting more time to celebrate and concentrate on my own work; so here I am promoting the brand as much as possible," she said. Wish you luck!

Actor and anchor Karan Wahi is a busy man nowadays as he has been juggling with juggling between shooting for his upcoming film and hosting the reality show Nach Baliye 6. And recently he made a quick trip to Pink City for some work.Upon his arrival, he said, "I am here just for a day and I don't think I will be able to take out time to explore the city. I will probably have to find time later and come and explore Jaipur."Recalling his first trip to the city, he said, "I think I was in the sixth or the seventh standard when I first came to Jaipur. At that time, I had visited many forts and palaces, but the one place that I remember is Hawa Mahal. After that, for some reason, I haven't been able to make a trip to the city in which I could go around and explore various places. In between, I had come for a day to play a match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in the city." In his debut TV show Remix, Karan played a boy from Rajasthan, which was very much evident in his dialogues as well. "My first role was that of a Rajput boy. But at that time, I didn't have to do much research on that character. The channel and the production house had done the research and told me how to portray it. The protagonist of the film Salman Khan, currently seen as a popular host of Bigg Boss, expressed his wish to cast the actress in the 10th edition of the film.Kareena, who went to promote her upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in Bigg Boss, along with Imran Khan, was seen in a very jolly mood with Salman Khan, whom she had also shared screen in Bodyguard.
