Brand Ambassador Vidya Balan attended the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Conference (IFFM) as the Victorian Coalition Government extended its support for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne by one year, reinforcing strong bond that exists between the Victorian and Indian screen industries.Recently the actress spoke at length about various aspects of her film-career. She is also well-aware that her weight is the talk of the town at the moment.“My weight has become the talking point of the nation. Why is everyone bothered about it? Is it a national issue?  I am just trying to work on my body shape, keeping in mind my character in the film. Believe me, I am not doing anything special. I am not dieting. I am happy with the way I look and hope people would leave it at that,” says, Vidya.At the same time, she is geared up to play first female detective of India in upcoming film Bobby Jasoos. The Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha production is being directed by debutant Samar Shaikh. “Samar is a very talented director. I am really looking forward to working with him,” she says. The movie goes on floor in November.

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who is most remembered for his role as Wolverine, may quit the quit the franchise soon, as he says that playing the character has been very compelling for him. It has been for a decade since Jackman has been playing the heroic mutant.Recently he spoke in length about his thoughts on reprising the iconic role. "Great parts always outgrow the actors that play them. If you forget that, it`s at your own peril. They are working on it now, and it would have to be very compelling for me to do it again. I`ve been doing it for 10 years," he said.On the idea of switching comic book characters or doing a crossover, the 44-year-old, said, "The great thing about comic books is that they threw Batman in with Wolverine or Spiderman. I have people ask me all the time, `Do you think Spider-Man can beat Wolverine?` It`s part of the DNA."He was speaking at the Spain film festival, where he had accompanied director Denis Villeneuve to promote his new movie Prisoners. There he was to receive the Donostia Award for the lifetime achievement at the special screening of the movie on September 27."Humbled and honoured by the award. Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee, last seen in Satyagraha alongside Amitabh Bachchan and others, says he wants to reside in Delhi when he gets free from Mumbai or when he will achieve a certain position in his career. He also says that he has a special connection from Delhi as his family and friends are living in the capital.Manoj Bajpayee recently visited Delhi for a film’s shooting there he shared his desire to shift to Delhi. “Dilli se kaafi judi hui hain. Yahaan kaafi dost rehte hain, aur family bhi yahin hai. I am thinking of shifting to Delhi,” said the actor.Does it mean he’ll leave Mumbai soon? When sources asked the same that when he will be making the move, he said, “When I feel that I have reached a certain level in my career and my directors and producers will not mind calling me from Delhi to Mumbai, I will shift here. The thought of shifting to Delhi always comes to my mind. It is a thought that comes to mind almost daily. I feel that working from Delhi will make life easier for me.”Meanwhile Manoj is signed to do the voiceovers for the upcoming Mahabharat animated 3D mythological drama. Anil Kapoor's '24' premiered its first episode tonight at 10 pm on Colors. It also replaced the popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.So how is the show? Will it shatter all Daily Soap records with its TRP? Will 24 bring a new revolution in the history of Indian Television? Jai get's a call from Nikita Rai (Mandira Bedi) who is a government agent at ATU. The minute Jai reaches the ATU Wing, He is informed about a serious threat on PoliticianAditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is a Prime-Ministerial candidate and a youth icon. Aditya Singhania's life is in danger. Jai (While his way to ATU) get's a call from Wasim Khan (Anupam Kher) who is a Research and Analysis wing (RAW) officer informing about a "Rat" in ATU wing.Irritated by his father's behavior, Kiran goes out to party with her friends without informing her mother. The result is she goes missing.Aditya Singhania is ready to take his oath the next day with a prepared speech by his Mother (Anita Raj). But all hell breaks loose when he gets an immediate call from a T.V Channel head (Suchitra Pillai) who informs him about some of his dark crime which he committed 12 years back.A contract Killer is on his way from Thailand but killed in the Flight itself by another Femme Fatale. The Indian adaptation of '24', retains all the elements of the international series, the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving storylines, with 24 episodes capturing 24 hours.Director Abhinay Deo does full justice with his dedicated direction along with tight screenplay by writers Rensil D'Silva and Milan Milaap Zaveri. This one does not at all looks like a T.V Series but it looks like a One Hour feature film on TV. Full marks to the Direction, Writing and Production team for creating a wonderful extravaganza on small screen. Performance wise, The show totally belongs to the one and only Anil Kapoor who makes you sit tight without touching your Remote Control buttons with his charm and persona. Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer might have been good there, but here Anil Kapoor is extra-ordinarily amazing as Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca Chopra, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi are superb in their respective parts. Neil Bhoopalam is just outstanding as Aditya Singhania and trust me, this first season belongs to him after Jai Singh Rathod. We are yet to see Shabana Azmi, But it was nice to see Anita Raj in a mind blowing role after a long time. Special mention to the actress who played Femme Fatale, The one who killed the contract killer and jumps from the flight. She hardly had 10 minutes in the First Episode, but she made her presence felt real strong.It is reported, some major channels initially refused to buy the idea of Indian Version of 24, At least not until Colors swooped in. I am very much sure those channels now regret it. I really have no clue or will not lay a challenge if 24 beats other Thrillers running strongly on other TV Channels with huge TRP's, But 24 will be the most exciting, The most talked about and the most interesting TV Mini Series India has ever produced.Prepare yourself on every Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm for a Thrilling roller coaster ride of 24 as this one is most Powerful, Gripping and an Honest show you will ever come across.

However, Vidya Balan feels that remaking Mehboob Khan's Oscar-nominated Mother India is an unattainable feat and even if anyone tries to do so, she will never be a part of it. Vidya has donned the look of Nargis, as a tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema look from the 1957 cult film Mother India and Meena Kumari's from the 1962-classic Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, for Cineblitz's special edition.

Vikram Bhatt’s Ghulam went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of that year.While Aamir was seen riding a light weighing bike in Ghulam, the actor will now be seen riding a heavier bike in his big film, Dhoom 3. It is a high end, stylish BMW bike. The actor will be performing breath taking stunts on the bike in the film. Aamir went through special training to perform the stunts on the bike.Also there were safety measures that had to be taken before shooting the stunts on the bike. Dhoom 3 is slated to release on 20th December.

Commando star Vidyut Jamwal, who recently starred in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja, has successfully impressed the audience as well as critics with his chiseled packs and high kicks. The film released on last Friday, and opened to good reviews from the critics.Even though his role was not a lengthy one in Bullett Raja, still Vidyut successfully impressed one and all. And now Vidyut is all set to take up the title of Action Hero of film industry. Quizzed why he decided to do the film despite it being a special appearance, he said, ''The driving force for Bullett Raja was Tigmanshu Dhulia. I love the way he makes movies. And I being a North Indian, I love the way he portrays the belt. Nobody else in the country does it. So when he told me I was very excited, though it was a small one.'' Excited about bring part of the film, Vidyut said, ''For me Bullett Raja was a double whammy as it is a Tigmanshu Dhulia film with action sequences.'' Akshay Kumar and dancing superstar Prabhu Deva last shook a leg in Rowdy Rathore, and now once again they are ready to match the steps yet again in upcoming film Boss, which comes out soon. It is learnt that Prabhu Deva makes a special appearance in the film.Titled Hum Na Tode Phode, the song is based on the superhit dance number Apdi Pode, and has been sung by Vishal Dadlani.

But according to Shilpa Shetty, who will again judge couple dance reality show, the new season is about romance and passion and has no vulgar content. The show will launch on November 9 and will air every Saturdays and Sundays. The actress said, “You are misunderstanding the whole concept. When we talk about passion, it does not mean vulgar. Passion is a part of every marriage, every relationship and romance. If you remove romance, there is no fun.”The 38-year-old was speaking on Friday at the launch of the show's new season, where she was accompanied by her co-judges director Sajid Khan and choreographer Terence Lewis.Sajid Khan said, Nach Baliye 6 promises dance infused with a lot of romance and passion. “There will be romance through dance, they will be marked on the basis of their dance, the audiences will vote looking at their dance. It's not Valentine's Day special. Bollywood’s two legendry actors Amitabh Bachchan and Prem Chopra were seen sharing a delightful time with each other in the event. They had a hearty conversation as they shared a warm handshake and a laugh. Amitabh Bachchan looked handsome as he partook in the anniversary celebrations of Prime Focus. Prem Chopra appeared as lively as he looked in the 80s time at the event in his black-sherwanni style suit. They were sitting at the front row accompanied by veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. Amitabh, too, had a warm conversation with Rishi that was clearly seen on his face in the stills.Amitabh and Prem seem to have sharing their old days that they had spent during the shoot of film like Do Ajnaabi. Actress Vishakha Singh is now a known name in Bollywood after doing films like Fukrey, Bajatey Raho and Ankur Arora Murder Case. Latest it is learnt that she is ready to do more films as she has signed on few more projects.Her upcoming films, however, are in different languages. “These are The Maya Tape (Hindi), Thurram (Telugu), The Motorcycle Diaries (Malayalam) and Valeeba Raj (Tamil),” informs a source. But one thing that comes to notice is that despite being a Punjabi, she has not acted in one yet. Still, she has many language films in South, where she will be playing a lead role. “Doing four films at a time in itself is a big deal but considering that she is a Punjabi from Delhi, doing four film and that too in different languages is really something special,” says a close associate of the actress.“The Maya Tape, in which she is playing a reporter, sees her along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The horror thriller is being readied for release before year end while the other three would arrive in 2014. Moreover, she is also in talks to do more Hindi films, announcement of which would be made soon,” adds a source.Says Vishakha, “Yes, I am doing a lot of regional films. I realise that one should be constantly working. Moreover, South industry pays you much more as well so it is a good reason to be doing films there too.”Hope you achieve success with these films!

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein actor Imran Khan says he has had the best time working in the movie, and it was one of the most entertaining work experiences that he has had till date. "For me this is the most fun film. What makes it special is the chemistry and interaction between me and Kareena Kapoor Khan. That is what makes the film stand up," said Imran."Kareena and I have good chemistry. I think we look good together. Part of the reason is because inherently we understand each other as actors," said Imran, who was in London with his leading lady Kareena. The film has been helmed by Punit Malhotra, and produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions.The actor said that the film has the target audience in younger couples and the family audience. "Karan likes his films to reach out across the audiences and he likes to make his films family friendly. You can watch it with your parents and parents can take their kids to watch it," he said.He also added that it was picturised in many locations. "The first half is primarily shot in Bangalore where the romance begins. The second half was shot outside Bhuj in Gujarat, then Wai outside Pune in Maharashtra and then in Filmcity. It was a difficult film to shoot. We were shooting outdoors in the peak of summer in May and June - it was over 45 degrees every single day."The film comes out on November 22!
