Son of veteran actor-comedian Jagdeep, actor Javed Jaffrey claims that he never used his father’s name to get work in the film industry. The multi-talented chap is known for his roles in films like 100 Days, Fire, Earth, Salaam Namaste, Singh is Kingg and 3 Idiots and others."Being the son or daughter of a legendary film personality you get more respect. But I have never used that as an influence to enter industry. It is not that I got work because of him. My father did not do a film for me or launched me, he wanted us to do things on our own," Javed said."Rather I never thought I will enter the film industry, it happened all by chance. Destiny played a part and brought me here in this industry," he said. Jaffrey is known for his versatility, as he has done positive, negative as well as comic roles. "I like to play all kind of roles. You can't do same stuff every time as it becomes boring. Comedy is my soft spot. But I love doing action, thriller, drama and negative. I am not comfortable with sexuality, intimate scenes," he said.Next, he will appear in debutante director Faraz Haider's War Chhod Na Yaar. "I am playing captain Qureshi from the Punjab region of Pakistan. So my tone in the film is Punjabi-Urdu. The film establishes relationship in an interesting way. I had great fun doing this film," he said.The film also stars Sharman Joshi and Soha Ali Khan!

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who is most remembered for his role as Wolverine, may quit the quit the franchise soon, as he says that playing the character has been very compelling for him. It has been for a decade since Jackman has been playing the heroic mutant.Recently he spoke in length about his thoughts on reprising the iconic role. "Great parts always outgrow the actors that play them. If you forget that, it`s at your own peril. They are working on it now, and it would have to be very compelling for me to do it again. I`ve been doing it for 10 years," he said.On the idea of switching comic book characters or doing a crossover, the 44-year-old, said, "The great thing about comic books is that they threw Batman in with Wolverine or Spiderman. I have people ask me all the time, `Do you think Spider-Man can beat Wolverine?` It`s part of the DNA."He was speaking at the Spain film festival, where he had accompanied director Denis Villeneuve to promote his new movie Prisoners. There he was to receive the Donostia Award for the lifetime achievement at the special screening of the movie on September 27."Humbled and honoured by the award. Here comes the good news for the fans of Hollywood actress Halle Berry as buzz states that this former supermodel is making comeback on small-screen with Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi drama series Extant. Last she was associated with television was in 1991, when she was part of American soap opera Knots Landing. CBS is going to telecast the project, which is going to be produced by Spielberg`s Amblin Television and is 13 episodes long.For those unaware, Berry would be seen in the role of an astronaut, who was returned for a year long voyage in outer space on her own. "I`m always on the lookout for amazing roles, and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity, it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium," Berry said in a statement."For five months a year I`ll get to live with and play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I`ll continue to look for other roles that move me as deeply as this one," she added.You can catch the series in the summer of 2014.

However, the gorgeous actress says she does not regret being unable to make her debut in English film world.“I don't regret it. I had to work out things for Ram Leela here, I couldn't have left the process mid way, and I had given my commitment here first. Looking at the way the film Ram Leela has got response, I feel good as my hard work has paid off,” shares the long less.Deepika, 27, make her plans clear that she is still open to doing films whenever the right offer comes up. “I would love to do a Hollywood film. B-town actor Vidyut Jamwal is all set to flaunt his action skills yet again in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja. Speaking about the same, Jamwal said Dhulia is such a fine filmmaker that it is not right to question the filmmaker’s decision or doubt his instructions."It's not a big role in Bullett Raja, but the action I do in the film is completely different," said Vidyut, who debuted with Force, and was next seen in Commando. Vidyut is a nationa-level gymnast, and is an expert in     , which is a form of martial arts from Kerala."Whatever he said, I did it in the film because you can't question a filmmaker like Tigmanshu, he is one of the greatest filmmakers in our country," he said of Dhulia. Bullett Raja stars Saif Ali Khan in lead role, and the promos of the films are out.Happy with the response the promos are getting, Vidyut said, "It's amazing and very overwhelming when you get positive response from the audience. As I said, it's not a big role, but the bits and pieces that the audience has seen in the promos, they have liked it so far."Bullett Raja is set for release on November 29!

Sajid Nadiadwala has roped in the talented actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, of Gangs of Wasseypur fame, for his upcoming film with Salman Khan, Kick. For the first time, Nawaz would play a powerful role in a out and out commercial film, Kick.There were news that floated media few months back about Randeep Hooda being signed on to play an important role in the movie Kick which is a remake of telugu money-spinner of the same name. The Telugu version had Ravi Tejaa, Ileana and Shaam in the lead roles. The film is about a man (Ravi Tejaa) who robs corrupt politician and business tycoons for the pleasure of his Kick, and a strict no nonsense police officer (Shaam) is assigned to nab him.It is reported that Sajid was keen to cast someone who will be able to perform dramatically. While details are kept under wrap on his character as it's suppose to be surprise but insiders say it's very powerful. According to the original version, only two characters are important in the whole film. The Con-Man and the Cop.Nawazuddin read the script and feel in love with the character. It is also the first time that Nawaz will be working with Sajid Nadiadwala as well as Salman Khan. Earlier to this, he had received a lot of accolades for his performance in Talaash and Lunchbox where he had dabbled into different characters. This would be Nawazuddin Siddiqui's first mainstream break. And that too opposite Salman Khan.
