The online release of the trailer had a surprise element for Shahid’s fans. The end of the trailer has Shahid Kapoor appearing on-screen and making an engaging appeal.The result of this activity was certainly fruitful.  The trailer on YouTube has over 2 million views. The idea of Shahid’s appearance undoubtedly ensured user engagement. The activity was highly successful with over 32,000 likes, highest amongst its contemporaries (trailers of films releasing around the same time). Many must have heard that for his upcoming Vishal Bharadwaj’s Haider, actor Shahid Kapoor has agreed to go bald for the film. So talking about it recently actor Shahid said that his decision to do the same was driven by the fact that the look is necessary for his role in the movie.For those unaware, Haider is the adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet. "I thought it is justified. When I read the script, I found it very interesting and I have tried to do something shocking whenever I have worked with Vishal. With him I have always tried to do something different," the actor said at a promotional event of his upcoming release R...Rajkumar on Friday. Meanwhile, at the same time, Shahid confessed that his best performance was in Vishal’s Kaminey, which came out in 2009.  "He is a phenomenal director. He has given me Kaminey. It has been the most appreciated role of my life till now. It's great working with him again. It has been a lot of fun," said Shahid, who stars opposite Shraddha Kapoor in the film.We hope that the film changes things for Shahid, professionally!

The film Shahid has had a great impact on the brother of the slain lawyer Shahid Azmi. The movie which is made on the life of Shahid Azmi has had a great impact on his brother who saw the movies on Friday.Shahid’s brother Khalid Azmi said, “Our family has gone through a lot. It's a very emotional moment for us. I have watched this film before, and yesterday I watched the film again with my family. I got very emotional. The film (tells) a part of my life, so it is very realistic and everything comes alive before my eyes.”The movie starring Rajkumar Yadav in the lead role is about the life story of Shahid Azam who was the defending lawyer of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks co-accused Faheem Ansari. He was shot dead in his office in 2010. Shahid’s brother also went on to saying that some portions of the movie were also shot in his office and colony.He said, “I provided them with all the information. I also spent a lot of time with Rajkumar and told him how Shahid used to be. They shot a few portions in his office and his colony.”This proud brother seems to have taken a lot of efforts for his dead brother and we hope for the movie to be liked by everyone who watches it.

However, it was the Shanatics who received a surprise when Shahid made a special appearance during the film’s interval.The ‘Shanatics’, organized a special screening of R… Rajkumar, where the actor opposite Sonakshi Sinha, is seen at his tapori best. Running houseful with Shahid’s die-hard fans, the theatre was filled with whistling, clapping, cheering and of course, plenty of standing ovations for the masaaledar entertainer. Just when the cheering couldn’t get any louder, the Shanatics were left stunned when Shahid made a special appearance. He gave his fans a pleasant surprise with his visit and interacted with them. R...Rajkumar is produced by Sunil Lulla of Eros International and Viki Rajani of Next gen films. Directed by Prabhudheva, the film released on 6th December.
