Hollywood actor Liam Hemsworth, who was recently in news for his split with controversial girlfriend Miley Cyrus, is said to have hurt his finger in a bid to make an impression on fans by playing a daring game of Five Finger Fillet in front of them.All set to be seen in upcoming film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Hemsworth, 23, was participating in a press show when he by chance struck his finger while playing the game in which a player places his palm down, spreads his fingers and attempts to stab in between the spaces with a sharp object.Not only that he ended up hurting his finger, but in the process he also damaged a $10,000 table. While about the incident on the chat show, Hemsworth said, "It was the first stop we did on The Hunger Games press tour and I wanted to impress everyone and I'd had a couple of drinks. I missed a little bit on the little pinky - see the black dot? Apparently it was a $10,000 table as well that I ruined." Speaking about the same, Hemsworth said that he always believed that he can’t ever go wrong in this game, as he has been playing it since long. "I used to do it a lot in science class when I was in high school - I didn't love science class. So I'd sit there in this class and use my pen to do this. You start with a pen and work your way up to a knife," said Hemsworth.

After being on the editor-desk and producing the last installments of Paranormal Activity, Gregory Plotkin is now coming on board as the director of the fifth installment of the horror franchise. Earlier, Plotkin had produced Paranormal Activity horror franchise, including the spin-off Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. Now he is getting ready to helm the forthcoming sequel Paranormal Activity 5, arriving in October of 2014. Besides his work in the successful horror franchise which started in 2009, Plotkin has given his contribution as sub editor or assistant editor on some big films like The Break-Up, Friday Night Lights, The Insider. Apart from that he has also worked as a visual effects assistant editor on Pleasantville.The audience is keeping a tab on where the fifth installment of the franchisee will head towards as the last film really upped the ante as far as the spirit world. Almanac screenwriters Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark have come on board to pen the sequel. It will be produced by Jason Blum and Oren Peli.Let’s see if Plotkin succeeds in taking the franchisee to an all new level. We hope the film churns big money upon its release next year!

Neeraj Pandey, one of India’s finest contemporary filmmakers, today launched his debut novel Ghalib Danger at an event that was attended by the stars of his cinematic ventures.  After entertaining Indians all over the world with memorable and much-loved films like A Wednesday and Special 26, the critically acclaimed director, who is no stranger to thrillers has further explored the genre with his first book.A fictional gangster saga set in the visually eclectic Mumbai underworld, Ghalib Danger makes Neeraj one of the rare Bollywood directors who have also authored novels. Ghalib Danger revolves around the life of its main protagonist Kamran Ali. A young taxi driver by profession, Kamran stays in Mumbai and dreams of making it big someday. However a twist of fate awaited him as on an eventful day his life transforms when he saves the life of a notorious underworld don from called Mirza. As an act of gratitude, Mirza takes Kamran under his tutelage.Speaking of his book, the celebrated film writer-director and now author says, ‘Writing has always been a passion and when the story of Kamran and his world took shape in my mind, I knew that only a book would do full justice to it. It’s a story of destinies that collide and shape the world of our characters’.The launch of Neeraj’s first book was also a special occasion for some of his favourite stars to come and cheer in support. While Anupam Kher, who credits Neeraj’s as giving him two out of his top 10 roles in the form of A Wednesday and Special 26, read out a chapter from the book to a live audience, Naseeruddin Shah penned the leading quote. Manoj Bajpayee not only joined the gathering but also lent his voice to the motion poster of the book as he read out couplets from Ghalib’s work. Divyaa Dutta dropped by to wish Neeraj good luck as well.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-leela has kept the audience waiting eagerly for the movie ever since the release of its official trailer. Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun is one such song that has stirred the audience with the on-screen chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.Penned by Siddharth-Garima, the music is by the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. The song has Deepika and Ranveer dancing in sync with each other and showing a naughty romance through their moves. Both the lead actors reportedly underwent strenuous rehearsals for the filming of the song. In-spite of the extensive practice session neither of the actors complained. In fact Ranveer was heard saying that he had a lot of fun while shooting for the song. Vishnu Dheva, who has choreographed the crazy steps for the foot-tapping song said “they’ve done their best”. It has quite a few years since TV heartthrobs Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani has been seeing each other. All set to be seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai, Mohit was asked about his take on working with his real-life girlfriend Sanaya.On this, he said, "We would love to work together again in a show. But when writers pen down characters, they keep our personalities in mind and that hasn't happened yet. We were approached for Nach Baliye last year but it didn't work out then. This year too we were approached but she was busy with Rang Rasiya and I got busy with this show. Maybe next year we'll do Nach Baliye!" Even though the duo is too much in love, still marriage is not in the cards for them. "Not yet. We are both concentrating on our careers at the moment. We want to devote a lot of time to each other when we get married and at this point it's not possible. As and when we decide to get married, of course everyone will know about it." Further, he adds, "When I came to this industry, Sanaya had already been a part of it for some time. I was not aware about the way the industry functioned and she helped me improve my acting skills. Sanaya and I have learnt a lot from each other." We hope there love remains the same forever!
